fudging hell, Barca are a fudging mess and a scam

Apparently they paid someone €8M to go watch matches/scout in South America (how did I miss out on this gig?)

More (translated buy a guy on reddit)

Laporta:The salary policy that we stumbled upon from the previous board is wrong, it's what the experts call the inverted pyramid, where veterans have long contracts and young players have short ones, and that makes it very difficult to renegotiate contracts.

Laporta: "The previous board had someone to discover talents in South America. He charged 8 million euros, an inappropriate amount."

Laporta: "There was a modus operandi to bypass the club's internal controls, split invoices, as in the case of I3 Ventures, or go through the Assembly. This method was also used for Espai Barça and in the Departments of Marketing and Computer Science."

Laporta: "In Bartomeu's letter he spoke of another 90M salary cut planned. The truth is that the players didn't even want to talk to him." Also how the 68m wage reduction is not a reduction rather a payment to be paid at the end of contracts of players.

Laporta: "CVC was to mortgage television rights for half a century, and it is not structured as an income but as a debt. The legal structure is not that they make a payment to us, it is like a loan."

Laporta:

He said we forgave Neymar for 16 million euros, that's another lie.

I would like to remind Bartomeu of all the damage the Neymar deal has done to Barcelona's image.

There were 4 open issues with Neymar, and we thought it was in the best interests of Barcelona to settle and avoid more risks. Laporta: They received 222 million in the Neymar deal and spent it at the speed of light and inappropriately

Being very angry on getting called out to not sell Barca corporate as it's short term and selling all barca image worldwide and how Camp nou needed 118 critical repairs to welcome fans safely and not be fined. He also sanctioned a loan of 520million to restructure the debt and maintain club's liquidity.

Just reading the first paragraph - a working model of veterans on long contracts/young on shorter ones, easy to see why they’re in such a mess.

Have no idea about him. Sure the vultures are circling.

Paratici time

I think we need to close off 2-3 main buys then I expect priorities will be offloading plus picking up young potential like we used to

Barca isn't the only one in trouble

The offloading might be the problem. Think some might be loaned.

Barca is really taking a fudging bath.

Just sold Griezmann back to Atleti for (supposedly) €40M after buying him for €125M?

Barca have played the moral card over Real for decades, but clearly they’ve been no better.

I’ve long felt they were worse as they were knowingly at it in private.

They were known to be involved with cycling dope peddler Fuentes in the 2000’s too.

Not the “more than a club” they claim to be.

Imagine going from an attack of Messi, Griezmann and Suarez to Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong in a couple of seasons.

The question really is how bad is this implosion going to be?

Have they finished the selling, or will they be more to come?

What happens to results? at best they are probably 3rd, but that could easily be worst depending on how they adapt on the seasons other clubs have, Barca not in CL?
