Gareth Bale

Something tells me he will come back to us for next season and he knows what the plans are from the chairman.

Only reason being is that he is still making appearances on spurs social media platforms, when clearly the season is over.

What would Gareth look like in a Poch team?

Could be amazing or a complete disaster, don’t think there would be much middle ground

I hope so, but, he spent a summer doing BT Sport and US PL coverage media in our kit before going to Real.

Not sure bales body would be up for a poch team sadly.
Yeah, like Dembele, I suspect Bale is probably a bit too old and injury prone to be running through walls for a Pochettino high press and don’t think we can afford £270k per week on a super sub.

I presume the chaos could be Anderloti going back to Real Madrid and he said that two weeks ago crikey!!....or was it Poch coming back........or was it him thinking of retiring lol....

Certainly less boring than watching the opposition pass it around the back 4 then back to the goalkeeper.
Corrected: Certainly less boring than watching your own team pass it around the back 4 then back to the goalkeeper until one of them makes a mistake and gifts the opposition a goal...

I dunno if boring is the right word for that, the other side of pressing I like is the skill defenders have to show to get out of a press through pass and movement. It’s like a game inside a game and shows an evolution in the ability of players. We were never great at it but when you see City doing it it’s pretty admirable.

Looks like CA arriving at Madrid means Bale will be staying. He went out of his way to mention him, first out of everybody. Only thing we have going for us, is that everybody else in Madrid hate him(fans, Perez). Florentino looks like he has an interesting summer in mind and needs money, so 10 mil from Spurs in Bale's wages might be enough. That's just hopeful thinking but the truth is, it doesn't look good.

Florentino never had an issue with Bale, it's Zidane who always had a problem (completely unjustified)

Zidane lost the league by two points having exiled Bale, James, Odengaard and sold Reguilon. No question having those players even as squad options would probably have been the difference. Carlo won't make that mistake, especially with Bale being fit and reasonably injury free (as compared to previous years).

Aren't the fans against Bale as well though?

Heavily.

Do you think Perez likes to spend 25 mil euros/year on a bench player? Do you think Perez just noded in acceptance when Bale came out with: Wales, Golf, Madrid, in that order? He wants him out.

Good luck to him in Madrid, hope it winds up their clam fans and he has a decent season.

On the plus side, 300k off the wage bill, 15.6m roughly.

Madrid has two different sets of fans

- The entitled asshats who would boo Ronaldo, they hate Bale
- More genuine supporters who actually appreciate Bale

Perez blocked Bale leaving to China mate, so hard to correlate that to your theory. He was under immense pressure from Zidane because Zidane (especially 2nd time) simply wanted Bale and James out of the dressing room.
