Juan Foyth

I think at 23, if Villareal have the option of £15 mil, they will activate it. We do need the money and there are better options for us out there IMO. Aarons of course but, if Inter are keen to sell to reduce costs, that Hakimi kid looks damn promising to me. Foyth+Aurier+Vickers money might be enough for any of those 2.

Add Doherty to the sell list, half price back to wolves for 6m, Aurier 6m to psg and foyth for 15m. 28m and I think you could get Hakimi for 25m.

There are only so many places you can go from Inter and all big teams have a good player on that spot. City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool all have good players there. Same with big foreign teams(they will not sell to rivals in serie A, Barca, Real, Atletico, Bayern are covered, only PSG is not). We need to stop selling ourselves short, we have better players than Hakimi in our squad, so he will not come here as a star, just a first team player.
We have better players than Hakimi in defence? Who?

I watched the Europa final last night and while Foyth didn't do anything wrong, I didn't think he did anything particularly great. He basically stayed back deep as part of Villareal's back 10.... Thinking about it he might actually been absolutely perfect for Jose's small club tactics?!? :D

Who said defence, all the squad. We are good enough for Lloris(captain of the World Champs), Hojbjerg(one of the best DM in the league), Kane, Son, Bale and not for Hakimi? Again, if he was to, he would not join as a star, only as a good first team player. Reggie came in the same last year, Real Madrid player, was huge at Sevilla the season before, some thought he was gold. No, he is a good first team player.

Apart from Kane and Lloris, none of those players are regarded as top 10 in their positions in the world. If one was to mention top RBs in the world, Hakimi would be mentioned. If he is coming here, he would be a star.

You think you can get Hakimi. Why would Hakimi come to a club with no CL football? Stay in your lane. Max Aarons in my opinion is overrated. Way overrated. Ditto that Fulham CB. He looks like Eric Dier to me.
Hysaj from Napoli is on a free and better than Foyth or Aaraons. Allows us to use our likely scarce transfer funds on a CB.

Son is top 10 in his position, Bale was, another good season for Hojbjerg and he will be.

I don't think Son is top 10 in the world.... I don't think Hojbjerg is either. Bale hasn't been for a long while.
i think most will count Son in their top ten list of something (not out and out striker) - other two i agree with you but Hojbjerg needs to be assessed with better players around him.

No he isn't. I like the dude but he is far too inconsistent. Perhaps he is number one in Asia but the world, no.
Statements like that are so easy to throw about but beg the question, precisely WHICH ten wide attackers from the world's top five leagues are both (a) more consistent and (b) can better Son's combined tally goals and assists this season?
