Harry Kane MBE

Well sometimes you dont get what you want in life lad that is just how it is. I mean you got money wife kids and your health.

Is anyone else sick of the narrative that is unfair that Kane has not won anything. I have never seen it with another club and yes the is an obvious bias as I am a spurs fan but no other club has to put up with players being sold by media pundits and the press. I think it does start to seep through into the players mind, how can it not the constant drip drip drip of stories.

Would also like to say whose fault is it he has not won anything? at other clubs I have seen the star player drag them over the line in key games. I can not remember a good game from Kane in a semi final or final.

I am finding more and more fans talking just like cnuts on tv it is like people have no idea to think for themselves.
Unfortunately the other big clubs have a knack of winning a trophy so they don’t have to put up with this narrative - even a ridiculously average Arsenal managed to beat Emirates Marketing Project and win the FA Cup last season. Do you know any/many other players genuinely world class who have won zero trophies? Thats why there’s the constant talk, it’s practically criminal that he has won nothing except his own personal accolades and I hope he does get his wish one way or another....

It has gotten a bit extreme with Kane. He deserves trophies but its hardly like staying at Spurs is some fate worse than death. We are one of the top clubs, he's paid very well and he works at the best facilities in the world. He also signed a contract of his own free will.

Matt Le Tissier stayed at Southampton for his career for relegation scraps every year and doesn't regret it a bit. Shearer gave his best years to Saudi Sportswashing Machine and doesn't regret it.

If Kane goes, so be it. I wouldn't begrudge him if he goes to City or abroad. But if he stays with us, he still has a bloody good life that most of us can only dream of.

It's a fair point but usually come the end of the season he has been run in to the ground or is coming back from injury

It is no where near criminal.

He never turns up in big games, and I don't mean a league match against a big club in November.

that's a fair point, but he could do a better job of pacing himself, and he did have a habit of injuring himself for a while making stupid tackles

I’m trying to think of a player as good as Kane who has had 7 years at the top of his game and not won a single trophy?

Matt Le Tissier was a lovely player but not one of the best 3 or 4 players in the World in his position.

Shearer had already won the PL at Blackburn when he joined Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

I do find Shearer the closest comparison - he won his one trophy with a doped club and then settled to be top dog at his boyhood club, breaking lots of individual records but ultimately coming up short in a couple of cup finals where they were the underdogs. Never really remember him being criticised or linked with moves away during that period and whilst Kane’s individual performances warrant a trophy I don’t like the narrative that you can only be considered a great player if you play for a successful club.
You just know if we did win a cup it will be he’s never won a league, or he’s only won one thing etc etc. If he goes I’d understand it but the loyalty he has shown shouldn’t be used as a stick to beat him with imo.

I wonder if Shearer prefers his time at Blackburn to his time at Saudi Sportswashing Machine?

Doubt it

He loved it at Blackburn
He was playing in a great team and partnership
But his time at Saudi Sportswashing Machine I believe is what he would see as his best period and the one he is known for

A good play and a good goal scorer.

Depends on how good you think kane is. A good goal scorer but he is not what I think that I am a better football fan than the rest of you on here make out.
He is an absolutely brilliant player. Delivers the most valuable commodity of goals year in year out and also creates them with his excellent passing, vision and movement. He also makes more defensive clearances than any other striker in the league.

Harry Kane is the one player in this Spurs team that would have every club in the World wanting him if he happened to be available. I honestly think that we may have been in relegation bother this season if we’d not had him playing for us.

This x2.

Maybe if people only saw highlights of him they’d appreciate him more but the numbers alone, playing for a club like ours, in the most competitive league make him priceless imo. That’s before you consider what he has added this season with his all round support play. Aguero and Henry are the only players with his prem scoring rate on the modern era and they entered the league far maturer than an academy graduate.

There isnt a better player in the world in his position
It’s that simple
