Jose Mourinho - SACKED

I will say that, in being in charge for the 6-1 mauling of Man Utd, Mourinho has helped to deliver one of the happiest Spurs-related memories of my life. And I shall always be grateful to him for that.

I grew up with far too many gloryhunting Man Utd fans crowing for years and making things miserable.
Watching Evra almost in tears after that game was something else, I was just sad that they didn't have Keane or Neville there to wallow in the misery.

Its going to be tricky finding the correct words but i will give it a go...

I was firmly for this appointment as i believed a manager of his ilk could drag extra out of our players 'get them over the line' where Mauricio couldn't.

I never thought it would be more than a three year affair, although i expected so much more, particularly as we hit the summit pre Liverpool at anfield.

Quite simply I was wrong about this, it was never a good fit, and while i wanted our players, pulled to success kicking or screaming, his methods and perhaps magic were wrong and gone in any case.

I feel very apoplectic regarding many of our players, unhappy with Levy and his recent shenanigans, yet i dont understand why we didn't keep him on for the final...im sure with Daniel its financial and contract stuff.

Im so sorry guys, things felt infinitely better under Mauricio, that football was hard to stomach.

Jose Mourinho stayed at Tottenham’s training ground hours after he was sacked and told “home truths” during a series of talks with players.

Telegraph Sport revealed Mourinho was leaving his role on Monday afternoon and he offered to leave immediately or pack up his office. And after staying to collect his belongings he had discussions with players for over four hours.

Players were told home truths about their performances, according to a first-team source. Mourinho left the club while they were seventh in the Premier League table and out of Europa League, although they have an EFL Cup final on Sunday.

Mourinho, who was dressed and prepared to take training on Monday, was locked in talks for two hours before he was dismissed, bringing an end to 17 months in charge of the club where he secured European qualification at the end of last season.

But it is understood the relationship with some of his squad hit rock bottom after Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb a month ago, with the atmosphere around the training ground tense and players “afraid to smile”.

Mourinho’s “home truths” to his players were not confined to his final day at Spurs. He took aim at some of his first-team players in front of their team-mates.

No fan of Jose, but long overdue imho.

Here's two more "home truths"...

His methods are past their sell-by date.
He failed at everything he said he would succeed.

Shouldn't he have been sharing those 'home truths' (preferably in a constructive manner) during his time as manager, rather than on this way out the door?

This.
He will leak more and more defensive rubbish I'm sure.
I tried my hardest, I really did, but I always knew he shouldn't be here.
Even when we were winning his press conferences were bordering on nauseating.
Give me three minutes of a 29 year old Mason in the presser any day!

A cnut to the end. Good riddance.

He's a cheeky c**t if he thought he had a right to be delivering home truths in the way it's being portrayed. I hope the players gave him some back if that's the case.

It may be just media talk though. Maybe he just met with lads to say goodbye and gave constructive feedback.
