The Fight to Qualify for the European Conference League 2020/21

What's all this 6 wins from 6 games nonsense?!!! Calm yourselves down! We've got an inexperienced coach with an unbalanced squad FFS.
The core of this squad reached a Champions League final less than 2 years ago don’t you know ;)

Plus we’ve since acquired 2 of Europe’s most in demand midfielders and 2 flying wingbacks plus not forgetting the return of the most successful British player of his generation!

Quite frankly now The Toxic One has gone I’m expecting 7 glorious victories with free-flowing champagne football throughout

If we beat Southampton, and West Ham and Chelsea draw then we’ve got a real chance.

Just when I thought I was out...

COYS!! Let’s just stop feeling sorry for ourselves and smash everyone in sight!

Lads it’s Tottenham.

we’ll win 5 in row and lose to Leicester on the final day. Then we announce Rodgers as our new manager shortly afterwards.
Quite possible Rodgers is our new manager. Imagine if it comes down to the last game against them, with Rodgers throwing the game for his new employer. Of course, we won't win the next 5 and will likely be out the race by then anyway!

"Even the longest journey (to CL qualification) starts with a single step"

"It is the second step that gives momentum"

"and then comes the trip-wires, and the fall from grace"

"and then comes Ryan Mason who sets up the chase"

As of today the following cannot catch us :-

gw 33 - Brighton & Hove Albion
gw 33 - Burnley
gw 31 - Fulham
gw 29 - West Bromwich Albion
gw 28 - Sheffield United

Just what I was looking at. Could be back in with a shout, but we definitely need a draw in the west ham chelsea game.

We probably won't get top 4, but would be nice to finish with some decent results and performacnes to get some pride back.

Top 6 may well get EL, depending on the top 4 teams and FAC. And whilst the EL isnt the best, its better than nothing, helps attract players (even though English people scoff at it) and keeps our UEFA coefficient high, which could help us with CL qualification in future

I quite enjoy watching us in the EL. Something to look forward to on a Thursday evening; see some teams play that I otherwise never would; and I can kid myself we have a chance of actually winning it one year.

I almost can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we're still in it. If we beat Sheffield United at home - and I assume we do - even a win for either side in the West Ham-Chelsea game is not the end of it. Their fixtures against teams that have something to play for look much tougher than ours against the handful of teams (Wolves, Villa, Leeds) that really cannot achieve anything anymore. One or two fluke results (West Ham at Burnley! Leicester at Southampton?) and our goal difference is going to be a factor.
