Danny Rose

I know he won’t play but,
For the league Cup you don’t have to be registered on the premier league list?
Purely for laughs I’d love to see him on the bench on Sunday!

Ah well, going against the majority on here I liked Rose - I liked his tenacity and aggression on the pitch and gave it his all and was a focal point of our prime Poch team. Good luck to him....

Totally agree. Not the most technically gifted footballer but he was aggressive and gave absolutely everything on the pitch. Definitely improved massively under Poch too and became a much better player than anyone thought he would be. Some of the things he said were ill advised but he told the truth about our lack of ambition at times which people of course don’t appreciate but he was rarely wrong about anything he said.

Danny gave me one of my absolute best-ever moments at the Lane. I was in Paxton then, and when he scored that goal - sheer football ecstasy. I was buzzing for days after that result, they kept playing the commentary on the radio. It was utter delirium at the Lane. I love the energy of those big evening games, where the chants ring out on the High Road before people are inside the ground. And such a magnificent goal, against the Scum - in my eyes, that alone deserves a statue, a hologram a painting, something permanent to remind us of the sheer brilliance of that wonderful, joyful moment.

Lack of ambition? We just built a 1bn stadium in his time at the club. The problem is that he believes in magic money trees like most people on GG it seems!

i thought he was a quality player by the way.

I’m thinking more of his comments on the eve of the 2017/18 season. We’d just finished 2nd a few months earlier and we’d made a total of zero signings the week we played our first game away to Saudi Sportswashing Machine. I believe we went into that game having sold Walker and Trippier was injured so we went into the game with KWP with no PL experience and ended up signing Aurier just before the window closed.
