Next Manager?

We will end up with Woy Hodgson & Fat Frank Lampard double act - one managing and the other coaching...

I'd take Bielsa all day long. Yes it's knee jerk after they just beat Emirates Marketing Project. But he actually sets his team up to try and beat the opposition, they play excellent football and its definitely more entertaining than what we're putting up with now. Levy won't accept him bit learning English of course.
(I'll await the reply of all our players will be fudged by February every season)

We'd need a totally new squad

He's the most naive manager I've ever seen and don't want him anywhere near here. There'll be games we win by 3 or 4 and just as many we lose by 3 or 4.

"its definitely more entertaining than what we're putting up with now" - if thats the only criteria then any manager is acceptable
"he actually sets his team up to try and beat the opposition" again, Jose is one of few managers to play a cowardly, defensive style
"they play excellent football" - well, their games are entertaining. Not sure their open style is condusive to winning at the highest level though

I think there's a minimum acceptable style of football. Mourinho falls beneath that; Bielsa goes far to far over it in that he gives opposition teams too many chances

I'm with you here except, in my case, it's got nothing to do with knee-jerking. Despite what most people claim, he's one of the best. You can't compare Leeds' squad with ours and yet, they're doing pretty well for themselves. If I haven't read the words 'better than the sum of its parts' a million times over the past few weeks, I've never read them. He's a perfect example of that.

Of course, Levy would never appoint him and he's way too temperamental to be reliable but if I were the chairman, I'd appoint him in a heartbeat. Way better than Guardiola, in my opinion.

Is Pep the only manager to really succeed with his style?

a manager with bottomless pits of money and can rotate the starting 11 when they hit the wall without a drop in standards
Pep's isn't the same style. Pep is more possession-based than Bielsa.
The pressing out of possession is what they have in common and even there Peps system is more controlled.
