Next Manager?

It would still seem premature to me, to sack him for not fixing a problem we've had for decades in a season and a half during a market affecting global pandemic.

I think you have to give any manager two full seasons before moving the needle.
Our last manager got only 12 games.....

Really, felt like he was here for about five years?
Yep straight 4 straight years of qualification for the CL through league position with £3m net spent per transfer window and then sacked after finally getting an adequate amount to spend in the transfer window, only 12 games into the season when barely having a chance to use his 3 new players due to them arriving injured.... Appalling management from the very top of the club there!

I don’t think you can ignore the drop off in league results and xG over the previous campaign, or the general actions/attitude/demeanour/words of MP.

I know it won’t happen and tbh when he went i thought he needed to go but I would love him back... once Levy/ENIC have Foxtrot Oscared//

Well, he did spend the lead-up to the CL Final speculating (publicly) on whether he would stay with us or not.

He then led us through a run of lacklustre results (14th in the PL) while sporting a face that looked like Mourinho at a funeral. A number of accounts even have him not attending training sessions by the end.

Results, coupled with his behaviour, left any sane chairman with no choice.

Yeah.... I suspect Pochettino had got tired of having to fight with both hands tied behind his back.

Levy made a mistake in not giving the best manager he’d stumbled across in his 20 years at the club a chance to turn it around with his new players. However he made a far bigger mistake in the years leading up to that by not properly backing that excellent manager. We’re still paying for those poor decisions now.

I have given up discussing it mate. The truth is, some people won't see it for whatever reason. I think a Nagelsmann is our best hope now.

I wonder what that pile of money Danny has been hiding will be used for.

I love the bloke, but he needed a change by the end, as did we. 5 years is pretty much the maximum for almost every manager at any given club nowadays.

Pochettino (October 2018): "The club is not focused completely on winning titles. Today we spend a lot of energy on many things. One is to win games but it is not the priority to win games. The club needs to be more focused on winning titles."
