Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Back to this. Any ideas that don't involve breaching international treaties, blowing up the free trade deal with the EU, and all future trade with the US, becoming an international pariah, and a return to the troubles with the death of more British citizens? I get that Boris cares less about NI than you do, and would have no compunction throwing it under the bus again if it served his needs, but he's not about to do anything as utterly stupid and vacuous as you suggest thankfully.
There's no need to return to the troubles unless the EU put up a border. That's on them.

We shouldn't be continuing with treaties that don't suit us. Treaties are only of value when they benefit both sides.

You might think that means the end of trade with the EU, most thought Brexit would but it didn't.

Ah yeah, I remember that idea from you a from a year or two back. Wonder why they never ran with it. o_O

No one said trade would end with the EU because of Brexit, just damage it which is exactly what has happened. You can be sure that tariffs and quotas would be applied though if the protocol is abandoned.

@scaramanga what is it you like about these guys? Is it that they make speeches whilst clearing tripping on shrooms?

The young girl im friends with from work is into the whole shrooms thing, the tea is actually quite good for you. The is a guy in Ditchling sussex who takes people out and shows them the right ones to pick. Am thinking when the pandemic is finally over going on one of the courses.

More virtue signalling by the Tories, tossing themselves into a frenzy about the Union flag.

Absolutely amazing question to ask the BBC why they don't have any Union flags in the annual report. I mean, what the fudge sort of question is that? christ.

Govt departments don't have the flag in!
Although it's about time to start writing them, so I wonder if that is on the way.
Might try to sneak in an EU flag holding a pint of soya milk.

speaks to their redwall/base support though. If you're floundering with keeping people alive and have trashed the economy, "quick look at our flags and how patriotic we are" and people will avoid paying attention to the real issues.
