Mauricio Pochettino

He either has what it takes or he doesn't. That's binary.

He currently doesn't, as shown with Spurs.

Once again, binary thinking at work. You're welcome to both it and the limited number of definitions and conclusions it comes with.

Why not inform his employers (who are paying him, what, 8 - 10 million a year?) that he "doesn't have it" and that they should switch him out...the ignorant fools eh?!!

The manager who united the club and the fans the most that's for sure
2 years challenging for the title, 4 years of CL football, one CL final
So many other SF's and finals and yet we won zero
And with the players we had we really should have won a cup or 2 at the very least.

3 home losses in a row too. Suppose even at that level and with a club that should dominate that division with ease... needs time to get them to play his style?

He gets somewhat of a pass as he joined mid season but it’s not a good look. Think he will ultimately be judged in the CL. That’s the trophy they really want as they win the league every year anyway. Emirates Marketing Project and PSG want the CL as they think it will take them to the next level. Tough ask for Poch to win the CL this year given they play Bayern but he should get next season to try and win it.

Got handed a fair chance though, with Lewandowski out for both legs.

He’s a top bloke and a very good coach, and was a nice fit for our club. But the way some spoke about him as being one of the top coaches in the world with his record of winning zero was over the top. He obviously needs more time to be judged at PSG but the argument about chequebook managers and whether they could do it at clubs with limited funds also applies the other way round. Poch getting a group of young and unproven players to over achieve at a club with not overly high expectations is a different kettle of fish to going to a club with expecting to win the top trophies and having established stars to manage. Let’s hope it works out for him.....
