Injury thread 2020/21

Lo Celso is going to be the new Lamela isn’t he?

With less direct goal involvements, less brickhousery, and also one less GG based robot proclaiming him as our saviour declaring how we'd have won if he'd have started despite him never being fit.

Ah less rabonas too thinking about it!

Not sure on that last point.... he also refuses to use his right foot doesn’t he?

Speaking to Spurs TV today (Wednesday), the Head Coach said: “We have some problems, I don’t want to speak about them, I don’t want to give any information – I’m not really happy to say player A, B or C is not in the squad but we have problems that in the end are normal problems. We cannot expect to be playing so many matches without problems so it’s a normal situation, we are going to miss a couple of players but that’s that. We are ready for the game.”

Jose did confirm in his press conference that Dele remains sidelined through injury and won’t be in the squad.

Giovani Lo Celso also remains out.

Reguilon, who was an unused substitute for the FA Cup fourth-round win at Wycombe on Monday, underwent a scan to determine the extent of the problem on Wednesday.

Although it is not serious, the injury comes at a bad time for Spurs, with Reguilon also expected to miss the Premier League game against Chelsea next Thursday, the FA Cup fifth-round at Everton on February 10 and the visit to Emirates Marketing Project three days later.

Spurs’ other left-back Ben Davies is also a doubt to face the Reds after being forced off in stoppage-time in the 4-1 win at Adams Park with a knock, although the Wales international is hoping to be passed fit.

Are Dele or Reguilon even close to being back? Just those two alone could spark a bit of life into the side

I’ve got a feeling Son will be back soon after the international break which means we have a fully fit squad going into the final lap of the season. Can’t ever recall that happening before. Can Jose make the most of this luck, we shall see..
