Oliver Skipp

I'm pretty sure from Norwich's pov they'd 400% want him back

Whether he comes back to us will depend on 1. Whom our manager is? 2. Our transfer budget and primary targets 3. Who we offload (winks, sissoko etc).

There genuinely needs to be the potential for 30 appearences with maybe 15/18 as a starter. He is no different from signing a standout player from the championship for £25m. He needs that pathway into the team, and that should be 1st back up to PEH and possibly to even play alongside him. If for any reason thats not the case (fail to offload players etc), there is little point him being here considering the sucess he's had at Norwich.

If we did send him back to Norwich we could always puts a clause in that we can recall him in January.
I don't think it makes a difference who we offload. He looks a level above Winks and Sissoko already (can argue that he needs to prove it in the Premier League).
He should be back up to PEH even if Winks and Sissoko are still here next season.

My point was not necessarily'who' we off load but 'can' we offload them. If Winks and Sissoko remain and Skipp returns it only adds to what Jose has described as a 'too big' squad. Skipp can be promoted but if it leaves Sissoko or Winks redundant or unable to be included in squads or lists the financial side of the club won't like that. Also either of those players could still take games off Skipp.

Plus there is a 50/50 chance we'll have a new manager next season who could view things differently.

You know, this kid is the only good thing about this club right now.

I don't care if he doesn't do a single thing in his career - I'm grateful to Skippy for being the one bit of optimism in an unrelentingly awful 2021.

Scarlett, Skipp - Mathaurin? Who do you think will make it at the top?
The first 2 IMO
Devine will
I mean we know the names
What I like is their hunger
The players tonight and at the weeken and just too many times now for too long have been passive with no desire
It’s not healthy for the club
Skipp coming in next season will be of massive value for us
Watching sisoako tonight not only was he poor with the ball he was out run without it
Skipp can play instead of and with Hojbjerg
Parrots won’t for a few seasons at least IMO if at all

Lets not ruin the kid, he is better off as far away from this club as possible at the moment.

He’s done ok, no doubt. But I would caution getting too excited!
He's done excellent. One of the first names on the team sheet of a team that is running away with the championship at the age of 19.
He's got no obvious weaknesses, good tackler, reads the game well, passes the ball really well and forward and seems to have a really good attitude.
Nobody is saying that he will be next Xavi or whatever, but he does look promising and is already an upgrade on a couple of players here.
