Well, goodbye for a while, chaps. I'm off to buy a new barbeque. Freshly vaccinated, Lady Norf et moi meme are heading norf to open our lakeside chalet and evict the small mammals that hid from the brutal Canadian winter in our cozy walls.

There's no internet or TV service where we are, so no way to prolong this suffering. I'm just looking to restore balance in my life.

Good food, wine, music, sex, and books.

Oh, chainsaws and power tools, too.

Back to review the carnage in a week or so.
You lucky barsteward.... hopefully the manager will be gone by the time you’re back!

If you think sacking the manager solves much I think you’re sadly mistaken, unfortunately.
It may not solve some of the deep rooted issues, but it might prevent further damage being done between now and the next appointment.

I'd rather have a new manager afforded some time with the squad pre-transfer season. Even if we did win the league cup I don't see Mourinho as the future, and he is proving a fairly corrosive stop-gap.

Y'all think it is the manager. Really. This is the first time the players have badly performed when all they needed to do was see it out. Remember Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Remember the European losses Vs Genk? I can't emotionally support these players any more.
Th European losses v Genk when we were fighting it out in the top 4?

International football starts back up on Wednesday.
Ireland have gone 7 games without scoring a goal.
But I'm looking forward to watching them instead of this shambles.

For real if we can't win a trophy with Mourinho, I wonder who we will win with? Nagelsmann? These players keep up with the demands of his tactics? Who? Klopp? Who exactly. We need to face up to the truth. We have a real problem with our playing squad.
With somebody with a football game plan that isn’t from a couple of decades ago perhaps?

I have supported Spurs a long time and I have to say that tonight is about as low a performance I have ever seen. I think it’s worse than the 3-4 Emirates Marketing Project FA Cup match. It’s certainly worse than the 3-5 Man Utd game. Utterly clueless from back to front. No one seemed to give a toss until they were 2-0 down by which time it was too late. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team of professionals look so disjointed and so unable to pass to each other over even the tiniest of distances. These are dark days at Tottenham.

We have been privileged to witness two supreme talents playing for Spurs for some years now. But If anyone expects Kane or Son to sign new deals then they are in an absolute daze. They’ll be off if they’ve got any sense. And who could blame them?

This gets quoted almost every season!....sadly..

Which different manager? Pochettino? Zidane? It is up to the players once they get on the pitch. It is irritating. If these players cannot handle a so called easier training regime under Jose, how would they handle modern ball?
It might not be the training regime. There is the fact that sometimes a manger 'loses the dressing room'. That seems to be the case here. If he tells them to one thing in terms of tactics and they don't, and if he talks about good attitude and application and their attitude and application is lacking, maybe they don't want to play for him. You don't get to be a premier league player without having a burning desire to win, even for your own internal pride. yet our squad doesn't play as if they care time and time again.

If this were true, then how come we are the only club that Jose is yet to win a trophy with over the last couple of decades? Fact is players are not turning up mentally and on the pitch. If you think this is specific to Jose then you have not been watching these 'lions' over the last few years ...

This isn't on Mourinho. This isn't on Levy.
IT'S THE fudging USELESS clam PLAYERS! It's the same no matter who the manager is! They're just a bunch of overpaid lazy fudgers, who just don't have what it takes. All they want is to pick up their fat pay checks, and OCCASIONALLY turn up for a game of football. They don't want to be winners. We'll, they might want to, but they don't want to do what it takes to be a winner. They just want it comfy and nice.
fudging PATHETIC LOSERS!

You're probably right in what you say but it's a mentality that runs through this club's DNA.

Because he's burning out more and more and we have less resources than Man U.

To be fair to him, that's an excellent interview. Articulated what we are feeling.

But great interviews count for squat. Its performances and results that matter and the last week has been beyond unacceptable. He has to go.

Agreed, if you forget all the vitriolic comments and cynical sentiments he's capable of, you'd actually feel sorry for him...for a while at least..

If we think the manager is underperforming when we're sat 6 points off 4th with a game in hand then it stands to reason we aren't far from where we want to be if we get in a manager who doesn't underperform
Comes back to the potter conversation earlier and the impact of performance vs results
We had some of both but again we’re back to neither

If all you care about is CL football than why not achieve it by actually winning something.
Putting all your effort into a cup competition where a single loss can ruin the whole thing is not really a sensible way to attempt that.

Better to go for 4th or tank.
