Watched Tom Hanks new film on Netflix . News of the World .
Was ok. Bit slow in parts but Hanks was good as he is more often than not.

or Y Tu Mama Tambien
And for Scandinavia one of my favourites is Troll Hunter which is great too
And let the right one in
And (I’m not a book reader) the original girl with the dragon tattoo series are so much better than the Hollywood versions

As I was saying... IMO the standard has improved, a lot

agree. The original Dragon Tattoo films were great - so fudging disturbing. I really couldn’t see the point of making, or indeed then watching, Americanised remakes. So never did.

The American ones are ok, just not as good
They stand alone as solid films, but the originals are brilliant
I’ve been waiting for the American remake of Troll Hunter which I doubt is gonna happen now

Have you seen Intouchables? The original french version.

That’s the one I mentioned above. Sometimes called Untouchable too - not a direct translation from the french I’d presume.

But a great film. Proper laughed out loud multiple times - it’s really well played.

Yup. Same. No point as those originals were top drawer.
Another from a few years ago that was outstanding? Border.

Yeah, Dogtooth is really good if you like his style. I enjoyed The Favourite as well.

Miracle in cell no 7 Turkish version is excellent. It is a copy of a Korean flick of the same name which I haven't seen. On Netlfix and worth a watch. Might make you cry you soft bastards.

Lupin is smart and clever but very slick
I’ve described it as Luther crossed with the Hustle to a few friends

And the ending left you waiting for the next series(assuming there’s will be one).
