Davinson Sanchez

You might be right in that virtually any other pairing would be an improvement on Sanchez and Dier but Slabhead isn’t the answer any more than Evans or Dawson is
Even at their age currently they are better than what we have
I mean you don’t have to agree with me but the league table does now

I said we should go for Maguire...
And the comments were.... he has played for a team that got relegated, nah!!!
Same with Evans on a free
I mean both are miles better at the basics than ours
Dawson was solid at Watford too
City paid £45m for a relegated ake (and he defends like a Spurs player TBF)
We don’t need world class centre backs, just ones who do the basics well
Another benefit of Maguire or Evans would’ve been they both count as homegrown when naming squad; unlike Sanchez and Dier.

Yes it does but I find it incredible that we paid £42 for Sanchez and they paid £70+ For Slabhead who is a Champo clogger imv

Your taking about buying him from Leicester
I was talking about buying him from Hull
TBF we did try but he said he wanted first team football

Just googled him and it was £80 million which I really do find incredible and I still don’t rate him as a player and haven’t mentioned the Greek fiasco

Mate, us trying to buy a CB 3 years ago is the same as us trying to buy a 2nd striker.

Any upcoming CB 3 years ago would have looked at Jan & Toby the way a 2nd striker looks at Kane & Son, i.e. I'm never going to fudging play.

Yep I agree
It’s a huge issue
One that’s kinda gone away

The CB?
My mates don’t rate him
Think he only plays well in a low block set up

Well there were two who were mentioned on here at the time that whose names were thrown about as possible signings for CB, one was Keane the other was Maguire, my choice would have been Keane.

I’d have gone for Maguire myself
But it’s all about opinions

Keep him and Toby as our CB pairing for the remainder of the season - more performances like that today and it's Dier who is first for the chopping block come the summer

Well played today and its not about coming up against weaker opposition because brain farts can happen against any opposition. He dominated and was steady and reliable.

What was interesting today was that he assumed responsibility and actually passed the ball with confidence and intent, won ariel battels and looked focused.

Burnely had the ball in our final third plenty of times in the first half so there was definitely opportunity for him (and others) to balls something up - they done well in those instances though and effectively cut out any potential threat
