Next Manager?

I dont think its unfair, precisely because of what you said - lack of goodwill. A results manager who isnt getting results has nothing. Moreover, Jose makes you ashamed at times to be a Spurs fan and embarrassed by the way he acts and the team plays. Most of us now watch Spurs out of duty rather than anything else
I have started to record the games and watch them on x2 fast forward.... It gets it over and done with twice as quickly. Another advantage is that at 2 x speed our passing can almost look quick and crisp :D

You could make the argument it’s unfair because Poch, in his first full season, was arguably doing worse than Jose is now. I understand it’s not like for like as Jose had much of last season. Point being, if you’re making an argument for Jose, which is a legitimate position to take, you’d say based purely on results, he’s being judged more harshly than another manager is being judged.

Personally, I want rid of him but I can see why people might say I’m being knee jerk or harsh. I just can’t, for the life of me, see how things get better or more enjoyable and keeping him will just cause more destruction and end badly anyway.
Hmmmm.... Poch’s first FULL season was his first season. He didn’t have the luxury of half a season to come in and get acquainted (no doubt if he did then some of those players would’ve been bombed out sooner). Poch also had a budget of only £20m a year net and almost all of that was actually due to his very last window only for the chairman to get rid of him before he’d really had a chance to use his three expensive signings.

Watching those comments from Harry last night, I couldnt help but wondering whether it was a pitch from him to Levy for a caretaker role?

https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/12206036/redknapp-bale-needs-his-confidence-boosting

Saying to Levy "you have two potentially top players who Jose isn't really using - I could get them playing again"

He doesnt usually say things without a reason, or at least in his time at Spurs there was always something behind his comments. I wouldnt want Harry back as a permanent manager, but if it was as a caretaker til a new guy in the summer, I would definitely take it. Far better than drifting downwards with Jose
Harry would do a much better job with this squad than Jose, just as he got a much better tune than Ramos out of a good squad previously.

He's backed him so far, I think Reguilon and Hojbjerg are undoubted successes at great value.
They are indeed. I think Rodon will also prove a good signing. Doherty I think is poor though, a mid table player. Bergwijn, the jury is out on, though I think he will come good (especially under a manager that plays front foot football)

Agree on Rodon, I completely forgot about Bergwijn, I'd include him in my success list.

A few of them are even better if you don’t watch the last 20 minutes!

Why does everyone want Nagelsmann? He's done virtually nothing, and I bet my house he'd struggle with star players, due to his inexperience and the fact that some players are actually older than him. He'd never get the respect a coach needs at a new club.
It's fine were he is, because he's been there "since the beginning".
I think he'll fail massively at his next club, so I'm praying it won't be us.

I'd also add that they have failed in pretty much every single big game, both in Europe and domestic.

Sweet Jebus no. Going from a team that punts possession away as a tactic to one that keeps it indefinitely for no real purpose would be too much for me. Going from practically no shots per match to practically no shots per match would finish me off.

Agreed. AVB is suited to the French league where 0-0 always seems to be the aim

Don't think we would. We could be in danger of remembering the Harry we had in 2010 which is a similar mistake we made with Bale. Harry's been out of the game for 6-7 years now and his record was very patchy after leaving us anyway.

I'm a fan of Harry's reign but it was too long ago. Bringing him back would be a disaster.

Could not agree more.

You are right he did come in that way, was reading through his old thread last night and there was a load of moans about doubting if he was the right man or not during his first season. Thankfully Levy stuck with him and it worked out well. Fans like to bitch ( its what we ALL do) but when it gets to sacking managers some of ours are top of the tree for doing that.

Lol. Great idea
Was recording the Sheffield Utd game as I was at work. Started watching and was comfortable with it at 2-0. As soon as they scored I started forwarding it to try to get through it. Saw Ndombele score that great goal and all was well again. Still had it on 2x play though :D

Funny how some want nuno santo, he doesn't have anything on Mourinho, his record is currently atrocious and is behind mourinhos tottenham.
