Gareth Bale

He has still got the ability to beat a defender but for some reason has lost his timing when shooting - some of his shots wide and with no power would have been embarrassing for any player. If Jose gives him more game time I'm sure he'll soon fix that. Question is, will he and if so who would he drop, Moura or Stevie B?

Have you seen our schedule?

In cups it's Lucas and Bale
In PL, first choice would Stevie, when we have a situation like Thursday/Sunday this week with a top team and a lesser team, Stevie against top team, Bale against lesser, Lucas can sub either/both later in game

I still think Bale's biggest plus is he has a history of scoring important goals .. that's a great attribute

Bale to me is like when you’re bursting for a massive dump, you squeeze hard, and all that comes out are two tiny pebbles.

As much as I was disappointed with Mourinho for playing Sissoko wingback and Davies on the other flank, nothing disappointed me more than Bales performance. This was his time to step up and show he can still be the man. Saddens me to say, it’s not going to happen - but will always be one of my favourite players I’ve seen pull on the shirt....

I thoroughly enjoyed the hype and excitement signing Bale caused for us as Spurs fans, and he has understandably had a lot of goodwill/patience from us to get match fit. Unfortunately it appears he isn't up to it (I still hope he could come good, but looks so unlikely and more likely blind optimism on my part) and a further opportunity for other fans to say 'i told you he was rubbish blah blah blah' (along with our manager, but that's a whole other convo).

What i can't fathom though is how his effort/output is deemed better than Dele's?! I suppose it must be down to stuff we don't see/on the training ground, but just makes no sense to me

I just think that Dele didnt suit Mourinho's way of playing at the start, and now there is a rift there and no way back

Dele isnt my favourite player, but I hope he stays til the summer so that hte next manager can decide whether he has a future, not Jose

I think the gamble on signing him was 100% right
So far it looks wrong but I believe it was the right thing to do

Joke of a decision to sign him, few of us said to be suspicious of injury prone players that are happy to sit on a bench and pick up pay.

Not only is he a complete waste of time and money his wages are apparently causing issues with Son negotiations as he wants a chunk of what Bale is getting.
