Honestly don't believe the Winks loan rumours. Not sure why he'd be that interested, especially as he's been getting back into the team. Obviously there are the Euros but we have so many games over the next 4 months that he'll get enough...moving to a lower half La Liga team and the risk involved wouldnt make any sense for him, and can't see why it would for us

I would be inclined to keep Gedson seeing as he is integrated within the group, doesn't seem to be injury prone and doesn't take up a squad place this season seeing as he still counts as under 21.
The counter?
- He doesn't own a place in the starting 11 and unlikely to do so with a fit Gio, and possibly an improved Dele competing for a spot
- He's struggling in an area that we will likely improve over summer (maybe even this window), plus Skipp waiting for his moment to come back.
- His style might fit well in Spain
- If he plays every game in La Liga he will have a better chance to play for England vs. every third game for Spurs.

I think it's a case of not good for the player, seems some other clubs are willing to go for him (and likely to give him more playing time).
If we could have fit him into Europa squad, it would have made sense, I think we will release him this window.
We're struggling with home grown player numbers. We need English squad players, and even better when they're SPurs fans so have a tie to the club. Letting Winks go would just exacerbate our problem with getting balance in the squad
- You are missing the part about what does the player want, we are not going to keep a player (and make him unhappy) purely for HG quota.
HG quota is an issue but realistically get rid of Gedson, Sanchez, Gazza, Lamela and you do a lot to address that.
The notion that Wink's wants to leave though isnt backed up by any quotes which I've seeen. he said something a couple months ago about being frustrated by PL game time, but nothing else
On the HQ quota, Gazza and Gedson were already left out of the EL squad so them leaving doesnt create a space. I also think Lamela will be harder to shift than people think....

I do agree we should keep him here, to be honest i would be surprised that Winks would want to join a team that is only 3 points away from a relegation place.

Hopefully, maybe moves are in flight but won’t be competed until replacements are sealed? other than Winks to Valencia and Dele to PSG I’ve not seen much in the way of rumours of exits though, Rose and Gazzaniga I thought would have been looking to get out ASAP, maybe they don’t want to take a paycut?
I get the impression Jose is really tinkled of with Lamela which may accelerate his demise.
