Trainer / Sneaker Thread

I like the older Nikes, recently bought some custom max 1s and Internationalist and have some Forrest Gump Cortez’s.

Recently picked up some leather Adidas munchens at the outlet shopin the O2 I was quite pleased with below. A bit like the car thread I think I have remained attracted to styles I couldn’t afford first time around!

Check out these bad boys

If they had a nike logo on and were a limited run the trainer hipsters would be queuing round the block for them

Not a Jordan’s fan myself.Although I do like some of the Jordan 1 Lows they remind me of the Dunks. The rest are way to chunky.

My vice are Air Max 1s
Have 8 pairs. Few fairly limited pairs. Got 3 of the Anniversary pairs few years back. The Obsidian pair being my favourite.

Missed out on the recent Air Max 1 London’s. Which are going for a few quid on re sales.

Seen some on Stock X where a lot of the re sale trainers change hands but seen fake pairs come from there. They say they authenticate but I don’t think they do.

Same Air Max 1's are my favourite, so comfy. I also have the anniversary pairs, still in the boxes too. They don't seem to do general mass releases of the 1's anymore though and because of things like StockX everyone just buys the new releases to sell on there instantly so I can never get anything in the raffles - a few years back if you entered a few you'd get something but no more. Recently got my first pair of 90's but feel they're too chunky for an old timer like me.

It's probably easier to just use Nike ID and get a custom made pair if you want the 1's now - price is the same as the new releases.

Totally agree. There’s a release coming up of 1s early in the new year. Think they are full leather. I prefer the suede and mesh versions.

Not tried the ID’s I’ll check that out as did not know they done Am 1s .I’ve entered loads of raffles not won much. Last limited pairs I got were the anniversary ones .

Only had 1 pair of 90s and I’m with you think they are for younger generation. Fast approaching 40 and AM 1s are the only Nike I wear these days

I'm not a fan of the all leather ones either, look a bit too shiny but I'll take a look. Original mesh for me, old enough that I just stick with what I know and like now.

Just checked and the IDs are £115, cheaper than most of the new models.

I’m like that myself. Will be checking out the IDs for sure.

i don't spend loads on new trainers, but i only wear Jordan's primarily. Anything over £150 just seems a stretch to me for footwear.

Out next year $2k again

Like, i have these in grey and they look fantastic but cost me £99 because they're standard Air Jordans. Apart from the obvious colour scheme they're no different, so i don't see a markup worth $1850 for me personally, each to their own.

Been trying to find a decent pair of black (primary, not solely) Jordans as my current ones are knackered but not found anything decent.
