Gareth Bale

I would imagine he would play better if he was playing in a free flowing football team not a hit and hope we get a break team.
I was hoping he could do what he did in AVBs free flowing team, basically get the ball to him
on the right and he will cut inside on his left and stick it top bins.

Should play tonight. Like anyone he needs a run of games, and to find his form and confidence. Will he be the player he was in his early 20s? Of course not. But technically he's still got it - can still smash the ball home. And he still has some pace. So I think we should be patient.

It's not about this player or that player is about the best utilising as much as possible our finite resource of money.
Gareth was a fantastic player.

He’s looking like the player I was worried we would be getting.

For most the minutes he’s played looks completely on the fringes, offering very little against sub par teams

Scored an important goal today. Would be nice to see him in a more open game where we can stretch his legs again.
I noticed that Cavani was scampering around the pitch today, pressing and sprinting and harrying and chasing and snapping at ankles at the start of the Everton v United game and also towards the end of the game, great energy and great attitude for an old fart...

Just looks done to me, despite the goal and one ball he was poor, looks like all pace has gone. Funny that Fletcher came on for Stoke and run around and gave us a hard time, not sure of his age but he must be 34? Like someone else says Cavani is tracking and getting involved but Bale is just not moving.

Like someone said on here, a swing and a miss, we tried but its not worked

We might actually want to wait to the end of the season till we say that.

Sheffield United's Oliver Burke today equalled Bale's record of going 24 PL games without a win since his debut. Good thing we don't play them for another three weeks. He might actually break it.

Real Madrid 'fear £650,000-a-week Gareth Bale will be SENT BACK to them after struggling on loan at Tottenham, wrecking their summer transfer plans to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland'

Be afraid Real, be very afraid!
We are only paying 200k a week aren’t we? So can’t see that having much of a dent in the combined wages of those 2! Unless the 2nd year, if we took the option it would mean an increase in our contribution as it would have meant proving his worth?
This season probably is last chance saloon for Bale in a top European league though, MLS or China would be the likely destination if things don’t work out here.

Only?
