And Winksy clearly did with that strayhorn pass that turned into a wicked bar down cheese snipe. Put it out there and it worked out. Job done.

But he's the man who only passes sideways and backwards, I think looking up and trying to play a 50 yard pass into the box was good when he could easily rolled the ball 5 yards back to the player who passed it to him.

There have definitely been games where I think he's been too cautious on the ball. Or course difficult to know what the manager asks from him.

Saying that he's the man who only passes sideways and backwards after the Ludogorets game seems a bit strange to me. He needs to find a way to do that when up against better teams, time will tell.

Very true but I think he's recently got that message anyway, possibly from Jose. Definitely seems to be attempting more creative forward passes in his most recent appearances. I'd say he's actiually been quite impressive in that respect.

If he was playing for Norwich in the Championship he would be voted Championship Player of the Season and we would be creaming ourselves at the possibility of bringing this England regular into our midfield.

I'm just assuming that because Winks plays for England and Skipp doesn't, Winks is currently better than Skipp. We'll see next year if Skipp pushes Winks out of the England team.

Oh, please. I spent a decade covering the circuit. It's outstanding racing and entertainment.

I'm not criticising it because it's white trash, I'm criticising it because it's not racing. If you're going to race without corners, at least do it faster than in cars people can take their kids to school in.

Driving a vehicle in any direction competing against another vehicle/vehicles is motor racing... it’s all equally boring anyway (though F1 might be the most boring of all the boring forms).

He does an adequate job, with occassional purple patches where he is good enough. A bit like Nicky Butt was for Fergie. Every squad needs a number of home grown back-ups (Delph at Man C, Milner at Liverpool etc). Winks is that for us

He gives an MoM performance and that is the response...
I'm not his biggest fan, but he is a useful squad member until at least Skipp proves he can replace him or Sissoko for homegrown numbers
