Racism in football

Apparently Millwall (and QPR?) players will be linking arms before kick-off as a display of unity against racism and discrimination, supposedly as an alternative to taking the knee. However players are still free to take the knee if they wish, and it sounds as if some at least will be doing so as not all agreed with the alternative approach. QPR players (not sure if all, or some) will also take the knee, despite as a club having previously decided not to (ref Les Ferdinand's comments), but want to show solidarity after the actions of Millwall fans at the weekend.
I really hope the Millwall fans there tonight just keep quiet. It will be interesting to see if they have a different reaction to linking of arms versus taking the knee, or whether they boo the latter but not the former, or boo both.

Looks like they're trying to confuse them...shouldn't be too difficult:)

Hmm

The 4th official really should be able to name all the players in a match.

A lot could be in how he said it. Now if it was down in a calm retort like "the black guy over there" which is something I might say if they were a group of people and the one I was referencing was black and the only black guy amongst them and I did not know the person's name.

If he said it in a sneering sarky way "it was the black guy" then I would agree that it had a racist intent. To remark on a person's skin colour and do so in a negative way would be racist for me.

Millwall seemingly got their house in order pretty quickly, fair play to them.

I wonder which club they borrowed fans from for the QPR game?
