Oh happy days when

Ndombele lays on an absolute peach for Son's goal, produces some blinding dribbles, puts himself about, doesn't get a look in here.

Lo Celso makes a lung-bursting run to score with his first touch, goes on to produce some wow tackles, doesn't get a look in here.

Son crafts the opening goal, runs himself into the ground, doesn't get a look in here.

Lloris makes a great save, keeps a clean sheet against City (no less), all round excellent performance, doesn't even get a peep in here.

Edit: Oops! all that and still forgot to mention Bergwijn who ran the City defence ragged.

As I said, MoM should go to the whole fudging team! Everyone was top notch!

I've opted for Kane but this was definitely one of the tougher ones. You could make a case for virtually every player bar maybe bergwijn (on account of the relatively early substitution) and the subs. Proper team performance.

The question is when last can you remember making that statement?

Hmm. Maybe the 6-1 against Man Utd, if we are not harsh on Sanchez.

Oddly, and there will be a fair few matches since this one, the 9-1 pummeling of Wigan sticks in my mind as a game where we seemed on a higher plane to our opponents and destroyed them with effortless football.
