Sergio Reguilón

Real Madrid reportedly sold left-back Sergio Reguilon, 23, to Tottenham this summer because of a disagreement between the Spain international and Rayo Vallecano's French goalkeeper Luca Zidane, 22, the son of manager Zinedine Zidane. (El Confidencial, in Spanish)

Was put into quite a few one v one situations against Mahrez, including one inside the box. Did really well every time.

A couple of shaky moments on the ball, losing possession in dangerous areas. At 1-0 up against City I'm not sure Mourinho will be happy about that decision making. Other than that I thought he was excellent.

Great to see him dealing so well with the extended periods of pressure we were put under. Rare to have a full back with his attacking quality that's also so comfortable defending in those situations. We know he's very good at defensive transitions too.

Great intensity and willingness to challenge in physical duels too.

Looks a very complete player. And a frankly ridiculously good signing.

There's so much to like about him and the guy is clearly settling in quickly.

But.....Needs to gauge the absolute easiest way out of a situation sometimes, tried to clear it in to someone and we lost possession cheaply in our third. He's no headless chicken in terms of awareness but still some fine tuning to be done, no better place to do it than here

A lot of it just seems like self-confidence to me, tbh. He thinks he can take someone on, and so tries it. Probably worked for him in La Liga quite often - it's just that Prem players are almost routinely bigger and faster and more focused on individual duels over team dynamics, and so success rates may be limited.

He'll learn by next year.

agree
It’s like he is testing to see who he can and can’t beat
