OMT Spurs vs Emirates Marketing Project

You were saying?

(No, I cannot believe it either! :D)

Bit of reverse psychology....

But tbh, the amount of ball we were letting them have I was convinced they would find a way to score, and failing that I was waiting for Mike Dean to award them a penalty.
As it was, credit to Mr Dean, that was probably the best I have seen him ref, any match, let alone one of ours, for a long time.

At times he was anonymous, and that, for me, is how a ref should be

Except from that amazing bit of cheekiness at the end of the first half where he blew for what City thought was a free-kick for them, waited regally for a full second and then blew twice more to signal the end of the half instead. :D

Playing Son on the right was an interesting choice. We've seen it a little bit recently but I suspect that it caught City by surprise
It was possibly because if we were planning to get Son in on the angled run, we put him up against someone he'd 100% out run. Walker has faults but he annoyingly wins every single foot race.

Didn't see it coming, but excellent decision.

Walker is outstanding one vs. one defensively and his recovery speed gets him and City out of so much trouble down that side.

Obviously we can never know, but I don't think that goal today is likely at all coming down the other flank.

Then have Bergwijn playing a rather different role down the other side.

Excellent decisions.
I hadn't read your post yet:)...great minds;)

That's twice we should have gone top this season and we've done it both times.

Could you get your balls to grow in sync with the team?

I would just rather we carry on under the radar.

What would interest me though is.

IF, it became a two-horse race between us and Leciester, would the country be behind us this time, as we have never won the PL??? (Well apart from certain parts of London which obv goes without saying who they would root for)

Personally, I like Dean. Think he’s a decent ref and a character. My opinion of him went up when he lost his brick after Tranmere won a game a few years ago. He’s a proper football fan.

They are the yardstick. A team that finishes above Liverpool and City will be Champions. That said if Leciester continue to get a penalty a game, they will be in the mix too....
Big teams rarely win back to back titles
Things a ways happen differently second season and for pool this would be their third season at the highest level

He was our weakest defender today
A few time she made poor calls after winning the ball and losing it
He needs to learn still that in this league you don’t get time
Don’t think for one second I don’t rate him though. He is comfortably in the top 2 in the league already but he can be better
I posted in the West Brom omt he just needs to play (learn) the percentages in certain situations and areas.
This is something that's easily taught though.

He's a good'un for sure.

All that's missing now

Outstanding team performance, didnt have to rely on something special from star players or luck. Everyone did their job against a team who will always dominate possession, as we've seen to our cost many time it's not how much you have it's what you do with it that matters. That was the sort of game I use to love playing in.
