Davinson Sanchez

Sanchez is one where I do worry a bit, some glaring weaknesses in his game which is fine to a certain degree considering his age....But games on a knife edge will have three points lost by misjudging the flight of an aerial ball in the 89th minute....

He's a bit lacking in versatility, has not been reading situations greatly and cost a fair wedge. Not a no hoper by any stretch despite how my post might read, but we need stability there and I'd put Japhet's potential higher plus he's one of our own.

He'll be on his way imo.

While I agree with your post, I do worry about Tanganga getting over-hyped in absentia. After Sanchez's first handful of games, I think most of us were pretty positive about him -- he looked pretty capable, certainly with Verts and Toby alongside him, and I was confident that any rough edges would be sorted out. Like when he tried to go toe-to-toe with an aggressive forward (Benteke? Deeney?) and got steamrollered. Sadly, that hasn't happened yet.

Tanganga's looked good, sure, but he's not had the game time for errors to be picked up. I don't think he's played any big matches at CB either.

Agree with all of this
The one thing that does stand out with Tanganga is the way he defends. He attacks the ball and doesn’t sit and wait. He is also versatile which will help him

I think he has a lot of flaws, and most of which aren't easy to solve with training. He's a big guy, but doesnt jump that well and despite his height is ridiculously weak and easy to be bullied. He's also crap on the ball. Having him even as 3rd choice CB isn't great

He sounds decent:D

I think he's ripe to be shifted, good age to still get a decent fee (hopefully potential clubs don't watch as intently as we do:)).

We have two prospects, an old head and hopefully Dier settling into his new roll. We will look for another CH, but for that and other acquisitions (CM) we are gonna need some incoming funds, DS provides that.

Agree. We could probably get £20m - £25m for him still so that would fund half the cost of a proper CB

Davidson sanchez is the sort of CB than Emirates Marketing Project would buy for the season, paying big bucks and then realising he is fodder.

The year we signed him, I was very excited as I saw him live vs Man U in the ropey final and he looked immense. I do remember him outshining de ligt also.

Shame he has turned out to be bang average. I've not seem him have an outstanding game where he has bossed the defence or a player.

But all things being said, he is better than the likes of Harry Maguire ...

TBF De Ligt hasn’t looked great at Juve when he has played either. But he has had injuries and also had a constant change of partners there too
