I think he was playable in that area right in front of Son and Kane so many times, but never received the ball because it looked a bit too tight. I reckon he could've done something useful with the ball in that hole if he had gotten it though. I think we need to look to just play him more risky passes when he's in that zone, he's capable of doing something useful with it, regardless of the pressure he's up against.

I think he is very decent, just needs to get through more minutes

For all the talk about our defence, only Villa and Arsenal have conceded less this season (and Villa have played a game less), and as we know, nobody has scored more than us

Switched over to the new ITV drama, What did he say?

How he knew that Burnley would have a game plan and the match played out as he expected.
For that he must congratulate Burnley as they nearly got something out of the game.

He said it sincerely, but surely a subtle tinkletake :)

Nice to see Jose saying we were not playing the football he ideally wanted and that he was contemplating Reggie for Davies and Le Celso for Sissy but was worried about the Aerial threat.

I thought both Dier and Toby were magnificent today. Especially Toby, as it seemed like Burnley mainly aimed for getting in aerial duels with him, and he coped very well. MoM for me, as several other have already mentioned.

Wouldn’t go for Toby as MOTM but thought he was excellent tonight especially after the bang on the head early on. Was pretty flawless. Helps that Burnley won’t expose his lack of pace but he was very, very good and showed he can still contribute.
