Harry Kane MBE

But I doubt a single Spurs fan would take a swap..... Yet I bet quite a few Bayern fans would do so...

I don’t know any Bayern fans tbh mate. Not sure why anyone would want to swap him given how many goals he has scored and the trophies he’s collected. He’s a big game player too. Not saying Kane isn’t but even at Dortmund Lewandowski scored in finals and scored 4 in one game in the CL against Real Madrid. Whatever order you rank them in they’re clearly the best two number 9’s on the planet right now.

Yes i agree, he did not look very happy though.
He has to be realistic, few players are going to play 3 consecutive 90s when we have a midweek game - the time we might need him to do that will be the business end of the season so we don’t want him burning out in the fluffer games.

haha, he was seeing free goals ..

Let him take it out on Burnley Monday

To be honest i am glad that it looks like we now have a player who can step up in Kane"s position and it means we do not overplay Kane, and it helps that we have a manager who will insist on it.

In future you would not even want him at the stadium but at home with his feet up.

That's interesting re Aubameyang, because i might have wondered if indeed he had scored more than Kane since he joined Arsenal as i thought Kane had more injuries in that time. Do you mean he's still scored more overall than Aubameyang or do you mean more goals per game/minutes?

Either way, Kane is incredible. I wonder: is he the best striker that Jose has worked with?
FWIW... since Aubameyang’s debut in week 26 of the 2017/18 PL season...

Aubameyang: 55 goals + 13 assists (from 90 appearances) over 7379 minutes = 134 mins/goal
Kane: 46 goals + 15 assists (from 75 appearances) over 6496 minutes = 141 mins/goal

Although Kane’s all-time figures in Premier League are much better

148 goals + 31 assists (from 215 appearances) over 17669 minutes = 119 mins/goal

Well Aubameyang failed to score last night, so if Kane scores tonight then helps put things in his balance. He’s definitely the better all round striker

My MOM tonight (I know there was nothing amazing going on) solely for that clearance of the line.

I like my footballers intelligent and fully focussed on how they can affect the game at all times.

Kane's job is to mark the man near the front post, as soon as it becomes apparent that the flight of the ball is well above their heads he knows that job is redundant and is he straight onto the next job. As in this case it's re-positioning yourself to what 'might' happen next. Quite often (especially at this level) you can't react to what's happened, you'll be too late, you're playing percentages all the time.

I bet if you replayed 100 corners from different teams and looked at what the player does whose doing a similar job to Kane at a corner very few (if any)would do what Kane did.

I know it gets said but that was as good as a goal.
