Joe Rodon

I dont think Tanganga will be the answer at CB for us. I hope to be proved badly wrong though.
What’s your thoughts on him then?
I really like Tanganga as he is aggressive and defends on the front foot. He goes to the man abs makes the tackle rather than jockeys like most CBS nowadays

Tanganga has it all to prove at the moment, has looked promising but would like to see him get a year or two out on loan

Would have thought that getting him a loan this summer would have been easy given his performances last season.

Perhaps the Rodon signing just happened too late and with Rodon not being in the EL squad we need him for that.

Could be that Mourinho thinks he'll make an impact for us this season though.

“He’s a very young player, that didn’t play one single match in the Premier League so calm down,
It’s a very important position in the team’s structure, centre-back, so he needs to grow up. How fast depends on him. That’s the question.

He’s a kid with very good qualities. He’s strong, he’s tall, he’s good in the air, he’s fast, he likes a duel and a challenge.
It’s a pity he cannot play in the Europa League but we need him. He plays in one of the positions where we needed that man to finish the puzzle.

I like him very much. I like his mentality and focus in training. We are going to have a good player there.”

Sounds like his first PL start won't be something we'll have to wait too long for.

Like the sound of that.

from what i've read and heard he's one for the future, and therefore may not be making the step into PL starts any time soon. Might be wrong, we said that of Dele right?

But he's played 50 odd games for Swansea, so still inexperienced.

Joe Gomez is only a little older and is playing first team games

was the same argument used with TAA at Liverpool. Ultimately if you're good enough, you're good enough. TAA was playing more consistently in PL than Walker-Peters despite being like 3 years younger.

But conversly, for every wonderkid, imagine there's a few Harry Kane's and Jamie Vardy's too right? Kane was't playing for Spurs regularly until like 22/23 no? Vardy was at Fleetwood Town at 25.
