Davinson Sanchez

I thought Davo had a bad start to the game, flustered and rushed, panicky. And he had a bad end to the game. But there was a portion in the middle where he wasn't shi.t

The guy is a f*king bomb scare that needs flogging to whichever team in Outer Siberia has a poor enough TV connection to have not seen him play.

It's been three years since he arrived - three f*cking years, and he plays worse than he did when he came here. Isn't a leader at the back - can barely control his own legs at times. Constantly gives away chances, and there's an air of weakness about him that's just pathetic.

Every game he's in - mistake, mistake, mistake. He could have a great game for 85 minutes and then bang! Mistake, goal.

Dier's like that too, but at least with Dier he does a bit of shouting, pointing and organization. This guy can't even marshall his own disparate thoughts, never mind the backline.

We need to get shot of him, or we'll give away a chance every time he's on the field.

I don't necesairly disagree that he has a mistake in him but hes not at fault for that goal at all. Moura left the West Ham player with the freedom of the box. Sanchez had to react othersie its a very likly tap in, it was a very close cross and he misjudged it. brick happens, he was not at fault. Moura is the main culprit, if he had just jogged with the attacker no cross would have come in and no own goal.

He misjudged it, which is symptomatic of his problem - he misjudges everything. He wins a very low percentage of headers for a CB, because he misjudges it constantly. He can't communicate - can you imagine him leading a line? And he has this...air of weakness about him that opponents target. I swear, it's a pattern with him - Mourinho even said something of the sort referring to the Europa League final with Ajax, where he 'sh*t himself'.

Dier has it too - this air of always being on the edge of a horrendous fudge-up, that makes his team-mates and the fans alike groan whenever the ball goes near him. But at least Dier organizes the back line a bit.

Sanchez the most enigmatic defender I can think of - has all the tools in his locker, except a brain. And if Mourinho and Ledley can't fix his problem, no one can and it's better to sell him.

As for the own goal, not even that bothered with that in isolation. He misjudged the flight of the ball for their first, which is why their player got the free header. He misjudged the cross and sent it in. They got two goals back, because of two mistakes on his part.

Considering how close the cross was to him he really didn't have any time to judge it he just had to react and sure I'll accept a better CB may well have judged it better but I still can't fault him for that particular goal. He had to react and there just wasnt the time or space to do it well.

You also seem to be confusing Sissoko for Sanchez. Sanchez was marking his man and jumped for the ball but it didn't come to his space, Sissoko was the Tottenham player who occupied the space for where the ball landed.

And Abe Lincoln enjoyed most of the play he watched before he got killed.

As soon as he scored the OG i knew that when i came on here the usual dislikers of him would be sticking the knife in, he had a decent game better then Toby did.
I disagree
I thought Toby was great
Bossed everyone that came near him
Sanchez was dodgy first 5 and last 10
The guy shouldn’t be playing left side as you need someone who can pass better there as Reggie pushes on so much and you can’t afford to lose the ball that side

People saying the OG wasn't Sanchez's fault but I'm sorry , it was partly his fault, it was an error .
He should have been heading that for a corner , he tried but he misjudged it as he does regularly. His headers never seem to go where he wants them to.
He must have a head the shape of a fifty pence piece.

Well it s all about opinions, i thought all the players did well and we as a team sat back and invited them on. Not any one player deserves to be slagged off (by so me fans) it was as a team we let ourselves down in the last 15 minutes.

Yeah I said that in the match thread
We shouldn’t be looking at individuals after what was a great performance for most of that game
Missing a player like Lamela for once who is made for that as the prefect sub

.. and made no attempt to jump for it either. On top of that it was Sissoko who conceded the free kick that led to the goal in the first place, clumsily pushing his opponent in the back.

Incidentally that was also much the same sort of territory out on the touchline where we conceded a fk for the Everton goal. Seems Mourinho urgently needs to knock a few thick heads together.

Was that the first time he'd played left side?

And was it because Jose likes to keep Toby right side as hes more capable of pinging his passes from that side?

They normally play one half each and swap
It’s a problem for us that I genuinely believe Rodon may fix
He is right footed but plays left side and can pass. He is also known to enjoy defending
Yep it’s a step up but players can do it quickly in happier sides

I want Rodon to start for us on Thursday, then ideally be a regular starter. Can’t be any worse than our current lot.

From what I've seen of Rodon he has a touch of Dawson's about him (in a fully engaged in defending type of way) but is a much better footballer the Daws. (Except the 60 yd crossfield pings:)).

It's a shame Rodon can't play EL.

Tanganga plays on the front foot as well. Which now I come to think of it is not always great if both your CH do. Their in game intelligence might smooth that over??

Davies might be a better option in some games.

They could be a real pairing
Ones aggressive and the others more a stopper
Both are flexible too
Tanganga hasn’t shown a passing range yet but Rodon does like to play out from the back form what very very little I’ve seen and read
