Joe Rodon

It'd be interesting to see what Doherty, Reguilon and Hojbjerg are on compared to Eriksen, Verts and Wanyama.

Eriksen was reportedly on 60k? Wanyama would have been on similar/less and Verts a bit higher by the time he left i suppose.

When we signed Sissoko his contract was supposed to be in the 90k region - would perhaps be safe to use that as a yardstick for first team signings, someone like Regulion a bit lower due to age

Possibly, I don't know. I would be interested in seeing what the wage bill is like compared to a year ago. I wouldn't be surprised if it was reasonably flat if you exclude Bale

He'll need to get his learning cap on pronto, we need a good solid cd pairing pronto, and they need to be playing consistently

I hope this lad fits the role and grows as we move forward, he'll need to show maturity and quick thinking from the off imho

Joe Rodon is another typical Levy signing : unknown, young and below 23 ! Would have preferred a more experienced defender but with the transfer window closing, we badly needed to sign him to improve our defence ! Still not sure how reliable he will be in defence but at least he will force the likes of Dier and Sanchez to work harder.

Has anyone seen this Roden play????? He looks so poor you would not believe..
I hope I,m wrong ..so disapointing when we need a class defender.
He looks 2nd division fodder!
anyway Coys lol..

He's a little bit closer to the first team tonight....
Definitely.

Quite a few rumours that a loan back was being discussed during the negotiations. We presumably ended up paying a bit more to get him in immediately. Despite him not being available for the EL.

Can only hope that's because we think he can make an impact in the league rather quickly.

He was out training straight after the game
That’s a good sign in that they anticipate him being involved ASAP

Can not wait to see him play ( never seen him play before), but i hope we give him time to adjust to a higher level of play and not jump on his back when/if he makes mistakes.

It's a shame that we didn't sign him in time to register for Europe. It would be the ideal way of bedding him in.

We also have to look at the non homegrown count
He falls in that bracket
We do as a club have to plan for that now and it’s going to be interesting with any future transfers

I heard he's tall and more like a traditional centre-back.
What is the chance he starts against Burnley? Another 'make_100_crosses_per_minute' team which could cause us numerous problems especially on set-pieces?
We can't only rely on Kane: Man does everything on the pitch right now - scores goals, plays as 10, providing teammates with assists and key passes, wins headers in his own box, tackles and even blocks the shots. He'll be focked soon.
