The Official 2020/21 Premier League Thread

Oh the commentators sounded distraught that their precious Liverpool weren't about to 'enter their second decade of dominance' after all.

There must be close to as many mistakes with VAR than there were without it now?

I cant remember as many games getting talked about with Ref mistakes as you do now realising that VAR or whoever is running it is getting things wrong. IS this a aresult of trying to get ABSOLUTELY every decision correct and realising human error will always play a part?

Haven't they lined that up on Manes elbow?

That was my thought. I know it was against Liverpool, for a change, but it was a shocking decision.

If you cant score with your elbow, surely it cant be used to draw the offside line. No way on earth was that offside from the still they showed.

At the end of the day, for me, it was the best outcome. Neither side got all 3 pts, Richarlson will be out for 3 games for Everton, and poddible injuries to Coleman and VVD

Happy enough with that 2-2 result. Works for Spurs. Plus, moving forward, Liverpool will be hurting without Van Dijk and Everton will lose Richarlison for at least one game and likely more. Great start to a weekend of huge match-ups.

Had my computer screen split with Merseyside derby on the left, Celtic-Rangers on the right. Great 2-0 win for Rangers, who looked lively and energetic. Fun listening to the Rangers TV commentary.

Then, over to DAZN and the sterile in-house Premier League studio production with Michael Owen practically sobbing and Tim Cahill trying not to smirk. Dermot Gallagher doing a terrible job defending VAR ref who didn't make the call on Pickford's foul on Van Dijk, letting Owen emote further to Liverpool fans.
