Gareth Bale

Looks poor, very one footed. Defenders will just need to show him onto his right and he’s out the game...
:D:D

This is probably my favourite Bale goal for Spurs. You can see that two defenders - especially the one closest - are doing all they can to force him down the line on his right. They've clearly worked on it in training, whoever their manager was probably thought he was pretty clever. Everything about their shape is set to push Bale down the line.

So he just puts it in the top corner anyway!

Remember this like it was yesterday, could watch it all day.

Still got it.

Fascinating to think about how Mourinho will deploy him.

I almost don't want him to be used too quickly, so he can destroy teams as we get into the latter stages of the cups. But we need CL football, so expect him to play a decent amount of league games.

Seems logical that Bale and Kane will be quite fluid and interchangeable. Both can provide and score. And they will be hard to track. Add Son's energy into the mix and we should have one of the most potent attacks in world football. Yet it is all TBC. That's the excitement. Bale has to prove himself again. And we need to win something silver.

I want Bale/Son/Kane to be used the correct amount i.e. if they are truly needed, fine to play them, but not flog them until they get injuries.
There is a reason Lewis Hamilton doesn't drive to the track in his race car.
We need those 3 available at peak performance for certain peak games.

Not to forget we have Lamela, Bergwijn, Moura, Alli and Vinicius waiting in the wings. All potentially good enough to be starting 11, on form. Our attacking depth is now insane.

My 7 year old used to have him in a ‘fantasy’ Spurs fifa team, so was delighted that he’s now ours in the latest version of the game (albeit he’s questioning his rating drop!)
