Is this a fancier version of the Redknapp era?

I have said it before and i am still of the same opinion about Son, he can be frustrating at times but he is a special player in a lot of ways. I believe that there are occasions when his feet move faster then his brain and that is when we see him lose control of just what he is doing.
Agreed.

The concern for me is that we have (and will hopefully have) a lot of players that are very good at taking advantage of space of they get the right service. Son, Moura, Alli, Bale, Kane, Bergwijn.

Finding them in space, moving the ball quickly and with purpose, sharp accurate passing, that has to come from elsewhere. Kane is quite good at that, but his impact in that regard is limited since he's a striker. Bergwijn shows signs of being better than some of the others, but still early days. I don't think Bale is the solution for that at all.

Hojbjerg for me is an upgrade in that regard, but not one who will change that on his own. We must get the central midfielders and defenders doing that job. Hopefully Doherty and Reguilon can provide an improvement. Lo Celso and Ndombele have it in them to make the real difference.

Our in-coming transfer strategy this summer is almost completely at odds with what we have done in the last 5 years. The signings this year have been about the here and now which is very similar to our business under Harry 2009 - 2011 ish.
Probably good to have a blend of both types to be honest.

With another National Team Captain to add to the squad in Bale, along with Lloris, Kane and Son, plus one of the most successful Managers of all time, surely we can finally win a pot!

If we get a backup striker and are reasonably lucky with injuries, this is one of those moments, the players need to take it ..

I sometimes think of when we had Lineker, Gazza, Waddle, Hoddle and an in form Stewart, but never just quite all at the same time, what might have been.

We're just missing Eriksen at his best now. Time to step up Tanguy!

People miss that, even the best Spur's sides (especially 80's) should have done more ..

Whatever it is we desperately need to improve our defense because Southampton could have been further in front before it all kicked in to gear for us

Harry's a good man. Given me/us a lot of good memories. You fudging give it to then, Harry. Of course we can win it!

I think having a bit of luck with injuries (or rather the lack of em) is key, really. If we can keep our squad mostly injury free, we should be able to win something this season.
Football Year ends in 1.
