Sissoko and Aurier are two players I'd never have in the first eleven. I thought both were brilliant yesterday. Almost flawless. Like Jenas said, Serge's best game in our shirt both offensively and defensively. Sissoko was also a massive presence in midfield. Bossed it with Hojbjerg and Ndombele. There were also a couple of occasions where he covered brilliantly for Aurier who had been coming back from an attack.

Jose getting a tune out of these two, getting Ndombele playing well...if he can get Dele back on track, he'll have done incredibly well. Maybe rumours of Jose's demise were greatly exaggerated?

In terms of ability, I think Serge is great. In fact, after TAA, I'm not sure there any obviously better RBs in the league. His issue has been the occasional rash bit of decision making. But then I recall that we often used to say the same about Kyle Walker.

I've never doubted his ability but his rashness and decision making have been so consistently bad for so long now that I'd kinda written him off if I'm honest. He's not a kid like Walker was when he was making tonnes of mistakes. Granted, Walker never worked them out of his game entirely but he was a better player than Serge at his peak.

Maybe Doherty coming in will help Serge. I still have doubts but I'd love to be proved wrong.

Competition can only help as you say mate. Fact is, if we're going to do anything meaningful this season then we need to be well stocked in key areas of the team. Having 2 quality RBs is vital in my view.

I not sure whether there was ever any serious intent to sell Aurier but if so, I'm really glad that he (seemingly) will be staying with us

Would also add that Aurier has a very good shot/finish in his locker. Enough so that I reckon he is capable pitching in with a handful of goals this season.

I was convinced it was going to be an 8-2, and like the day years ago when we were hammered by City, and Arsenal by United. But sadly not the case, if Watkins effort had only gone in instead of coming back off of the bar.

Typically in my Auction Fantasy League, I spent most of my budget on defenders. That was a mistake.

Don't talk to me about FF...i took Son out of my team after the Everton and just before the Soton game, when i also took the captaincy away from Kane.

Then for this weekend, i sold Kane and brought in Vardy, whilst also buying Alexander-Arnold...:mad:

What subs have you got planned for next week?

And Villa should really have made in ten...i was tinkled off with some of the finishing in thge last 5 minutes pureky because i wanted to roll out some "i'd 8-2 be a Liverpool fan" jokes this morning :mad:

@paxtonwolf i'm sure you're feeling the same..

It's been great listening to the crying at work.

I even brought popcorn in to eat. Better than any film at the pictures.

My personal favourite has been 'They should have asked for a postponement because it was obvious most of the team were suffering from the Coronavirus'

I kid you not. Absolute classic
