Paulo Gazzaniga

Apparently it’s 7 million.

Absolutely brilliant deal for us if so! I don't particularly rate Gazzaniga so would happily take this and either take a risk with Hart/Whiteman as our cover next year so that the £7m goes towards other positions, or spend the £7m on a decent GK prospect (or something in between)

Probably half that fee with add ons if he's playing etc. He's been a good squad member for us, but have to take the money and open up another foreign player space.

Don’t rate him but like him. Given us decent service but if he goes, it’s a good deal for us. Hart is a better keeper.

Id wish him nothing but good luck.

Yes, but then so is every other player in our squad, and you, and me, and Field Marshal Haig, Field Marshal Haig's wife, all Field Marshal Haig's wife's friends, their families, their families' servants, their families' servants' tennis partners, and some chap I bumped into in the mess the other day called Bernard.
I'm actually a pretty decent keeper, won the Haringey Cup as a boy winning MotM for my keeper displays. I honestly think I could have made it to at least semi pro level but instead I had dreams of being a midfield maestro. [emoji28]

nice, played in nets in London AFC myself

most important position on the pitch

I wouldn't help them out...what's the point?

Really? I fudging hate Pool mate, but ..

- Really hard to see them out of top 4, even after that brickshow yesterday (Allison, Mane and Thiago to come back in)
- Gazza won't be the difference for them with anything

It comes down to could we mug them .. anything north of 10M, please do .. if we took that money and used it this Window

- Would I give Gazza to Pool to free a foreign player spot and get enough money to close the Skriniar deal = yes
- If no one else in, we keep him.

Different situation but feels like when Caulker went on loan to Liverpool for the WTF factor.

Best of luck to him though, any money is a bonus and Whiteman / whoever looks decent GK wise steps up to third choice.

I'd probably agree on the Skriniar deal (although there are plenty of other players that can help finance that deal, plus we could probably just buy him if we wanted too?)

My main point is. We may have a chance this season, it's hard to tell but we may?

Liverpool 100% have a problem, Allison is very good, Adrian is brick. Fact. Whatever Gazza is, he is one thing to Liverpool, hope. Hope that he can smooth over a bad situation. He may well not do BUT why give them that hope? They could be a direct competitor? So it's one variable we can control.

Liverpool 400% have a problem, Allison is very good, Adrian is brick. Fact. Whatever Gazza is, he is one thing to Liverpool, hope. Hope that he can smooth over a bad situation. He may well not do BUT why give them that hope? They could be a direct competitor? So it's one variable we can control.

I understand, but it's last day .. if it works like I said where for us we are effectively swapping a 3rd choice GK for a first choice CB, it's worth the risk.

Do I think it will happen? not really .. Levy doesn't make a habit (anymore) of selling to PL rivals ..

I thought he’d want to go somewhere and fight for a number 1 spot, the one time he has a run of games he actually looked worse than his cameos, so maybe there’s a mentality that he doesn’t want the responsibility of being a number one? I’m a big believer there’s only so much improvement you can make in the training environment compared to actually playing matches.
