CANCELLED ***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Leyton Orient***

The choice should be a bye or the game is switched to WHL and people travelling for Orient would have to have returned a negative test both after their last game and then again in an additional test tomorrow morning.

I think that the PL will probably be ok. The testing and quarantining is there and seems to be working quite well.
Agreed
Lucky we did it though as any large number of positive tests in Europa mean we forfeit too I believe

Bye is the only practical outcome. Even a toss of a coin might mean Orient still couldn't field a team in next round.

Or penalties, taken at respective stadiums.

We can offer them a friendly later in the season to get some funds - once the fans are back.

How long does that put those players out for? If its a week then we could play next Tuesday and push back the date of the next round, which would be helpful for us.

If its more than a week, then wow, it does become a problem given the knock-on impact on future rounds. One upside could be that we play the Chelsea game in the next round the same week that both us and them have European games (eg we play it on a Monday evening). Would even it up a little rather than us have to play the same week as a EL game

I can't imagine that they'll give us a bye, or do it via a coin toss

I cant see that happening. If they're down 3-4 players then they probably wouldn't want to risk a hammering. I'm not sure we'd want to take the risk of a player carrying covid (e.g. test was wrong) playing either

I really can't see how the game goes ahead tmrw

I do feel very sorry for Leyton Orient, would have been a nice little earner with the TV revenue.
But a bit of a breather for our time will certainly come as a relief

European football may be impractical soon. You can see the domestic cups struggling unless funding is found for lower league clubs to test their players.

10 days minimum. If anyone has symptoms, it's 10 days after symptoms disappear.
