Dele Alli

Wasn't he recently seen hanging around with Grealish and Maddison?

Spending time with ASBOs is not the action of a mature person.
From what I have read dele had a rough youth and was sent away by his mum to live with a different (and white) family.

and as we all know, more people fail to reach their potential than those who do. His first two years with us were a revelation. Then it seemed that injuries and fashion lines piled up.
Certainly spending time w unsavory characters doesn’t help. He’d be better off hanging out w dier.

His whole demeanor reeks of a sense of entitlement based on potting a few sparkling goals and assisting on a few others in past seasons. And playing a mean Fortnite. He's oblivious to other indiscretions and missed opportunities.

Mourinho's greatest challenge is busting up the whole 'country club' tone of the dressing room in recent days and exiling Dele hits many targets in this objective.

To say nothing of putting a highly marketable and potentially high-revenue player on the 'available' list.

All of this.
I fear for him TBH. This is a massive season for him. Such brilliance and potential could go the way of the brick dodo unless he doubles down and really wants it. Time will tell.

As for Parrott, I had no idea he was running in such circles. He has probably a year to sort that out or else become the next Ravel Morrison...

Can anyone add more to the 'hanging out with bad people' stuff? I see a lot of people who look like knobheads on his Instagram feed, but anything more than just appearances?

So I take it you haven’t watched his Phenoms programme on Sky Sports?

Honestly when I read things about attitude and demeanour I wonder where these seeds get planted.

Covered the most ground in many Jose Mourinho games last season, doesn’t scream lazy to me.

It looks to me like he’s not going to fit into Jose plans purely because he is limited to that role behind Kane and Jose really doesn’t want to be restricted that system and is looking the raise some funds.

I thought the doc was a bit of hatchet job on Dele. Could have gone a completely different angle but the narrative was very anti Dele, whether it was on or off field.

Seems lots of people take exception to him modelling clothes and playing fortnite in his spare time. Maybe they’d rather he was on the balloons and having punch ups on holiday.
Those lads have had their fans and manager wrap their arms round them. Funny old world.

He had an old school friend living with him. The friend got tapped up to work for an agent as a way of getting Dele on their books. Lots of stories were getting leaked to the press around this time.

As @scaramanga said, he's now close to Madison and Grealish and they went on holiday together this summer. There are rumours that they weren't being model professionals.

Rumours!? I think if they’d done anything really untoward in this day and age we’d all have seen it by now via a smart phone.

It’s his old playing mate from MK dons youth (Harry Hickford)
He owns a property development business with him and his folks (not deles folks) as they effectively fostered him

he is close to a few people and that’s it form what I know locally and I think that may be part of the issue. Fame at a young age can go many ways and for some they end up in a closed shop to protect themselves. I personally can’t say he is hanging around with the wrong people.

I will say he needs to learn more on the pitch and off the pitch. He needs to develop w maturity and flexibility which he hasn’t shown to date and it will help him grow. From my experience that either comes from stability or from diversity. He hasn’t had the latter so far football wise as he has reached the highest level. He does currently have stability but maybe that’s what needs changing ...

I think by Lazy he means not wanting to go that extra mile to improve or getting better - Jose has worked with the best and has seen how this guys train and they are relentless.

Hickford was the friend who got the job with the agent.

He is an insane talent and absolutely can work in any system. Whatever he is going through I hope the club invest in him after what he has done for the club on the pitch years gone.

You sure about that?
I know people who work with him on the housing stuff and he is FT on that (was before COVID) along with his dad

We've spoken before about how some of the big football management agencies have a tactic of finding well-paying jobs for their clients' dads in order to get them signed onto their books.

Now it looks like they're widening the net.

Doyen Global recently approached Harry Hickford, the childhood friend, current housemate, and sort-of adoptive brother of Dele Alli.

The move has all the hallmarks of a poaching attempt. We just wonder if Dele's current agent knows that Dele's considered fair game in the business...

Key word there being approached
Dele is with CAA and Harry is his “agent” which is like Kane’s brother being his. It’s a token thing to pay them some money
There not agents - there just mates or family
They employ an agent to do the actual work

Half the issues we are seeing now are due to a young player being flogged and the damage that’s done via injuries and niggles he’s picked up.

when was the last time he was fully fit and not coming back from an injury?
What use is he then if he's constantly injured, or needs 15 games post injury before he starts performing?

deles work rate and effectiveness has been on the decline over the last few years and has been picked on reputation ... big wake up call for him. I hope he knuckles down and shows everyone how undroppable is.

I'm sure he has the mental strength to learn from this and kick on with his spurs career. If he doesn't then he has obviously been found out.

Has bags of talent, let's see you back at your best Dele, only you can make it happen.

The timing to me is interesting. At the time of a great moment, of course someone comes out and tries to identify an opportunity to put Spurs in a bad light. I will not be surprised if this is just a lot of ado about nothing.

He's a very talented player, but let's all be honest

- How many dozen "British" talents have we seen storm the PL for a couple of seasons in late teens, early 20's and then fail to live up to potential?

His goal should be to be remembered as the Gerrard/Lampard/Scholes of this generation, based on the last season and a bit, not going to happen.

Personally I think Jose is trying to give a kick up the ass .. let's see how he plays on Tuesday (type of game he should be able to completely dominate).
