Dele Alli

Yeah he would
He would have done the little slide rule passes he could make but he cant IMO make similar passes like Kane made for example and he doesn’t play the ball with width if that makes sense.
dele is all about the little passes and the high risk passes in and around the opposition box
I’d really like to keep him but if selling him improves the squad with a striker and CB it’s the right thing for me

I meant as the one feeding off of Kanes passes, along with Son

Problem is we rarely play the same style week in week out, ever...
Well the teams adapting every game to the lack of prep IMO
We are playing a similar system every game though. Defend deep. Full backs push in (well we will when Reggie starts). 3 in the middle and 3 Up top

Well atm for example I'd have him on the pitch before Moura Lamela or Bergwijn and then when Bale is in it's down to form
I’d have Bergwein over him every day imO. I really don’t get the Moura love in from Jose but I don’t think anyone does
Lamela is Lamela
Dele is nothing like those style wise but he is very central and their more wide players
It could work when we have Reggie buy I just don’t see it.

I remember looking at the likes of Kalou and Malouda at Chelsea and wondering what Jose saw in them. Moura reminds me of those players. He does work hard for the side but he's so inconsistent, sometimes brainless and ineffectual that I can't figure out why he'd be in ahead of Bergwijn or Alli.

Their great examples
I just don’t get him
Head down run abs hope

The injuries didn’t stop his passing range. I agree he has had a lot of niggles but his game is so focussed on getting on the end of this game, rather than being the man two or three passes earlier

injuries effect confidence and form though -

I do agree with the second part

Did you even read the post you origninally quoted? I'm talking about Dele suiting how we played the second half, he could have been on and playing centrally in the positions that Lamela occupied.

Moving forwards if Doherty and Regulion are providing the width and we have Kane dropping off then two central attacking threats could/should work. And between Son/Bale/Alli we have good options for those roles

Yes
He wouldn’t be fast enough to make those runs but yeah I could see that
Issue is who would he replace?

You don't explicitly need pace to make a success of the role I'm talking about - timing of runs is the key and is what he excelled at when making his name for us. I've already responded to the second part.

Kane dropping off, two of Bale/Son/Alli making runs and Doherty/Regulion stretching the defense

And maybe that’s what we may see but I also think he is one that could be sacrificed for the benefit of the squad and makes the team better
I also think his stupidity or lack of maturity will go against him with someone like Jose

Maybe i need to watch the puff piece on amazon but whenever I've seen Dele interviewed he always comes across mature and level headed.
