Dele Alli

Not sure what to say mate, I can't be aware of all of the things you've misread so it's hard to have a reasoned debate, or at least a productive one

Like I say, I'd rather see him succeed but it doesn't look likely, let's face it apart from his little resurgence when Jose came he's in the mix for 10% "worse" (as you stated, not me) players over the last few seasons considering the projected rise.

Ok I will clear it up

Based on the overall squad I would not sell Alli as he is in no way the worst in his position and has not been in the last 4 years, that is not how you, in my opinion improve a squad.

I would also improve other areas by getting rid of the crap in those areas, that again is how you improve a squad.

You certainly dont improve your squad by selling to a rival.

I think a move maybe best for both parties

I can’t be the only one that thought he didn’t come over well (in an albeit) edited programme.

also the way it’s worded Indicated that he’s tinkled because we turned down a move?

I appreciate the detail mate. I only want to be clear, been critical of his performances from time to time but I've not advocated selling him. You know he can pull something out of nowhere but it's unfortunate that from a system point of view he isn't at home in a midfield three but he's not an out and out forward so unless we go some flimflam diamond again then it's hard to see him week in week out.

Like @Bedfordspurs says, he's not the brightest but I'll definitely miss his tenacity and approach if he leaves. PSG could be a big thing for his career and progression as a footballer, and if it enables us to get our CB and a back up CF that we actually need then it could work for everyone albeit with a touch of sadness for Dele moving onwards...

Interesting it's PSG.

A team that don't need him and probably one of the only ones that can afford to accommodate him in their team.

Really dont care that they dont need him! And playing 4-3-3 he won't suit them just like he doesnt fit with us! All I care about is their cash!

Only other consideration is that he's a HG player...

brick, Mourinho just threw Dele under the bus in his press conference. When asked does he want to keep him, he replied by saying he wanted a balanced squad.

It’s the usual Levy tactic....to square up the books ,someone has to go,Alli is the one,£45 mill for him,£20 mill for Foyth, plus a fringe player £65 m spent ,£65m + ,bought in,Levy is happy.

I think we should keep him,and work with Alli, but the club works the way it does.

Sorry but that IMO is utter rubbish. Alli may leave but as i have said elsewhere it will because he does not seem to fit into what the manager sees going forward. A few of us fans have said for a while that fitting Alli into the team the way Jose seems to be setting it up is not easy to see how and what position he will play.

I hope he does stay but IF he leaves it will NOT be the usual Levy tactic which you are suggesting that will make it happen.

If it helps us get in the CB we desperately need and the backup CF then it could improve the team i suppose.

I really don't see him fitting in to this team and Mourinho isn't going to waste time developing him so it's a bit of a crossroads for him. Would love us to insert a buy back in to any deal made so the next manager has the option to bring him back.
