Transfer thread

I don't even agree with that timeline. Crouch was bloody awful more of a hindarance than a plus and Defoe's second spell was overall poor other than the first half of 09/10.

I would contend that we haven't signed a good and succesul striker since Berbatov in 06.

Yes, but I agree with the gist of the article but as you say not with the detail.

And to think some suggest selling Kane

Kjie wasn’t a striker
Adebayour had a really good goals to game ratio here
Be more interesting if they also showed other slubs success comparable as it’s fair to say most haven’t got it right
United haven’t signed a striker that’s stuck it out for more than 2 years and are now going to their youth (quality player) and 2 lads who are wide forwards
Arsenal play their best striker left wing to accommodate lacazete who has been decent but is also one the players their happy to sell
Chelsea buy and sell a striker a season and still haven’t had any be prolific
City rely on aguero
Pool don’t have a striker in the modern sense of the word

Strikers need time to find their feet. In a sense kane had it easy because he had his loans to learn the ropes then was eased into the team while the focus was on the big name flop.

That is why we need Jade-Jones and to loan him back to Peterborough.

Would look at Malen at psv but he will be expensive.

So since we started talks about Bale and Reggie, Liverpool have brought Two players, both announce, while we are still waiting.

You've got to love the blokes who post on here, after years of moaning about signing players at the last moment of deadline day the devil incarnate (Mr Levy) gets 5 players and now they have to moan about 10 years ago, they're worse than any wife who always remember the anniversary you forget years ago.
I'm actually very happy he's moved away from the deadline day transfers. They were never to the playing sides advantage. Long live speedier Levy.

Ps. Re the article. It was posted so commented. [emoji2379]
