American politics

Very dangerous times, if Trump isn’t removed from Office by the election the country is completely fudged.

Clinging onto democracy by its fingernails.
Trump/GOP will try and get the election decided by the supreme court, like Bush/Gore, and they will side with him. Biden has to be winning on election night and by a landslide or we're in for a world of brick. Anything close will be contested in the courts.

California will be first to leave imo

Splitting California into several states is one suggestion I've seen along with adding senators from Puerto Rico and DC should the dems win the election. Obviously they're still too naive to actually do anything serious. Even something simple as expanding the SC.

So it looks as if the only option here is court packing.

Not something I'm in favour of as it surely just leads to a justice arms race.

Some may say the race started with Gorush/Garland in 2016. McConnell changed the number of supreme court justices to 8 for a year when it suited him. Time for the dems to fight for what they believe in, including packing the courts if need be, because strongly worded tweets are not quite cutting it.

They'll need to flip the senate too or it will be stalemate again.
