Sergio Reguilon

Hopefully it takes the pressure off the kid a little. I think this guy is someone to really get excited about, but a new league and a fairly young lad. Doesn't need an extra pressure.

Yes, that’s a good point. Being slightly under the radar can be a good thing.

Ffs, someone just get this absolute taco off TV! Jesus christ! How the fudge can you even say that as a pundit? "we don't know if he's any good" - speak for yourself, Timmeh, he's played for Real and won the Europa League with Sevilla, you fudging clam.

what an idiot. Its incredible that he gets on TV

As usual I have no clue about who this guy is or how good he is, but if the hype is to believe and we've somehow managed to sign him, does anyone else think we got him in part because we also agreed to take Bale (partly) off Real's payroll?

Could this be an ultimate Levy masterstroke, where we initially were just looking for a young and talented left back, but also resigned the best player we've had in the modern era - who is also, incidentally, a serial winner and world class player?

If I had to pick, a proper, attacking left back would be much higher up our priority list than an ageing Bale. I'm sure he's still quality, but there's a certain risk in resigning Bale too

Imagine the supposed Genius Levy ever employing someone as dim as this clam.

It was actually a masterstroke because:

a) allow him to show himself as the bleep he was in full view of EVERYONE (rather than just one or two whilst mates would defend him constantly)
b) allowed us to bide time getting Poch who could take notes from afar and be more prepared

There were solid enough rumours that Real were offering Reguilon around to clubs. It was obvious they wanted him gone.

I don't think there's much more than a superficial connection between the two deals.

He’s not wrong heh, no idea if this guy will hit the ground running or take time to settle (See N’Dombele). Hopefully he will but transfers are always a bit of a gamble
