Dele Alli

Would be desperately sorry to see him go because I think he’s got loads of talent but has stagnated. He’s also mentally a boy if the documentary is anything to go by. Two years ago this would have been unthinkable but he’ll struggle for game time if Bale comes.

I really don’t want it to happen but it could be a good move for the lad.

For the reasons I've mentioned.

He wont want to move to a worse team, and better teams than us would have no space/need for him. His skill set is such that you best enough have to set up your attack to suit him cause he can only play one position (very well). Teams simply don't accommodate players like that anymore.

He can't even get in the England squad at the moment. Unless the retirement home that is Inter Milan come calling where can be go?

Frustrating player who had the world at his feet and now just wants to do bricky tricks and flicks and lose the ball. Could have been world class but let the hype get to his head.

If its a loan move i hope he comes back a better player but if its a permanent deal lets hope we get £80m for him.

Dele was a victim of circumstance at the club over the last few seasons as he went from being a top quality second striker to having to fill in at CM because of injuries and a lack of improvement there via the market - he got his head down, never complained about being used out of position and took one for the team and yet people queued up to dig him out for not being the player he was whilst playing a different role/position.

I'll be absolutely gutted if we send him packing as he deserves to have the above repaid to him, not to be made a spacegoat of by the manager.

That said i do think the role he was best suited to is a bit surplus to requirements in the current set up.

I think this would be a big mistake. If Jose is anywhere near as amazing as he think s he is he should be able to integrate dele, effectively, into the squad. If he goes I see him finding a place where he can be improved and kicking on to fantastic acheivements.

I guess we still don’t know the full facts and what Jose’s motivation is. I suspect he wants to keep him and maybe thinks he just needs another kick up the arse, and risk-reward with this method is worth it, because at the moment and for some time, Dele’s doing jack, despite his obvious talent.

Don't think he's being made a spacegoat, Mourinho has only ever said positive things about Alli publicly hasn't he?

To me it would seem if there is any issue to be on your part of the player. He's never really been the same since he took the childish petulance/aggression out of his game, was a much better player when he was a clam.

Jose has backed him today in the press conference

If we got a decent price for him then I wouldnt be against if it we could sign the next up and coming English CB in his place. Not sure who that is

I say CB give that if we get Bale and Reguilon and a back-up CF, then we have enough bodies in those positions and the weakness becomes CB, particularly if we're playing a back 3. We'd also be losing a home grown player, hence English CB signing
