All or Nothing - spoilers

Yeah agree

I don't think where the body is concerned as with health it is something to be underestimated or protected. Yes its a short career but its also a long time retired, I know some retired cricket players who wished they had not taken injections to play for what was perceived short term glories. Where now they hardly have a day without knee or ankle injuries. Its a different sport but any idea of putting your body through it because someone else might decide to isn't how injuries should be judged in my opinion.

The physio taken some negative comments but his attitude is spot on, detached from club almost I that player welfare ranks highest, all else is separate

I think this bit is absolutely right. The physio is spot on. But I also think Jose's attitude is spot on. They're both doing what they're supposed to do - it's just a natural level of conflict that should exist in my view and hopefully you end up in a position where you get the right balance most of the time.

Yeh I agree, I am no Mourinho fan but I get his POV. I just think its right that he is superseded by the Physio when it comes to welfare.

I watched alot of the show again and what I did like about Mourinho was his continued insistence on the mentality change, to win, to be winners and more nasty.

This part for me is the biggest bonus of having Jose here, we all loved Poch and i will always be thankful for what he did here but there is no doubt IMO that we lacked a winners mentality under him and not many clubs achieve trophys without it.

My big question mark with Jose is as much as he is proclaimed a tactical master if he has that part in his locker or at least with a club like ours where he needs it more than he would have at others. My worry is if he does not people will give him a pass and say it was the Spurs environment that caused it where he does need to achieve things in my opinion,

Maybe but i am pretty sure that those players who do not/can not take his message on board will not be around for long. He is a winner ( he has proved it wherever he has been) and the winning mentality comes from the manager down through to the players, alas Poch for all he done here ( and it was massive) failed to get that instilled into his players.

I am sure there will be some on here who will dismiss it ( i have mentioned the importance of a winning mentality on here before and was shouted down for it) but all the major winning teams have it and until we achieve it we will struggle to be serial winners.

But can he train lesser players with that right mindset to be better players, its a double threat, get better players to think like winners but he also has to coach with what he ends up with come close of the window. Players that want to be winners but need to be coached up levels, thats where my question mark lies.

But on the positive and to the point I like his winning speeches

From my experience from coaching and playing it not always possiable to get a team of 11 all having the winning mentality to drive the team along in a vocal way, but you need every player to take it on board that there is no excuse for failing and have the desire to run through brickwalls to obtain success. The best teams have that and you only have to look back to see the success those that have it have achieved.

As I said previously, all part and parcel of the bigger picture of where all this is heading. Spurs looking to smash all commercial outlets
I don't understand though... the Amazon site just has a tiny selection of crap products. Not the full Monty.

Its all about access and brand association as well as building on the existing relationship. The clubs moving to hugely to be huge in North America, its just another dot joined

Having now watched episode 5, I don't see anything wrong with what Rose said at all. Maybe not so clever, but I don't get all the fuss. Those player-manager conversations must happen all the time up and down the country.
We have already heard Dier tell of how he had a conversation with Poch about not being picked and saying if he wasn't playing he'd have to look to move somewhere where he would play but no one is saying Dier was being disrespectful.
If anything, it's telling that the club have clearly made a decision to highlight Rose's conversation with Mourinho but not others.

I think this episode is the most I have felt manipulated as a viewer in the 5 episodes I have watched, with Rose, Eriksen, staged Board meetings and transfer talk all clearly agenda-driven. That's not really a criticism, as I know the series is a PR exercise. It just felt a bit too obvious.
I don't think Dier threatened to train at home or (far worse) call his team mates brick.

I've seen/read three or four interviews with Rose over the last couple of years. In two of them he's been a clam to his team mates.

A lot on here questioned what Hugo brought to the party as captain. I think we’ve seen in the last few episodes and in this clip why he’s the captain. Fair fudges to him.

Based on this clip, Jose managed that brilliantly too. Dealt with it head on and turned it into something positive rather than shirking it or berating Son and Lloris.

There was quite a very different context to the purpose of each meeting though, so I don’t think you can compare Dier to Rose in this instance.
And yes, I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the slating of an (un named) team mate. But again, context. If he’s being told he’s dropped because he’s not playing well enough, it’s natural in a 1:1 with a manager (whatever the industry) he’d refer to other players:colleagues not performing well but continuing to be selected.

I think that, given it's the second time he's publicly been a prick to his teammates, it's more of a character issue.

Rose has been a decent player but not nearly good enough to risk the disharmony in the squad a prick like that can cause.

And he has done it on Television, fans will applaud his honnesty, bravo but where is he now? Coming off Second season of half inactivity and off to a second rate club, so he can let that sink in whilst sat feeling supiror and vindicated

Absolutely not, I've sat in meetings on the end of a gonad*ing and the last thing you ever do is throw others under a bus to justify your own lack of performance. If you know you haven't been on your straps you take it and improve and test your managers integrity to acknowledge the improvement. Saying I've been guff but so has he for me show lack of maturity 100%.

I've told many of my team the same and worked with younger people who have taken that on board and strived to be better. Not slag a colleague
