Only when you're not eating.

Just pretend you're American and graze on popcorn throughout.

I have (despite myself?) found tolerance for eating a little more in the last few years...what I cannot tolerate is LOUD food. Anything which makes noise whilst eaten is FORBIDDEN in my cinema world, and Lord help the brainless chavs who not only break that rule but always find the exact WRONG moments to make the loudest fudging noise with their gobs. No different to a phone ringing when at the quiet, tense moment of a thriller, some bunter decides to shovel a mug full of popcorn into their mouth and crunch. Oh, and the loud confectionary bag rustlers too, they can do one. Why do people have to eat during a film???????

As a bit of a comic geek back in the day, was pleasantly surprised at the trailer for The Batman. Looked dark and gritty, with the Riddler coming across well. I had low expectations so that always helps. Also the Penguin (Colin Farrell) making a brief appearance already plotting it along for sequels.

Not sure on R-Patz, looked a bit grunge/emo with the hair etc, and not sure on the early stripped back Batman look but will see where it goes.

Also saw the trailer for Justice League: Snyder Cut. Proof that you can't polish a turd.

It's based on Year Two, isn't it?

Yeah, I've just seen Tenet. Mixed feelings about it. The whole concept of inversion rather than actual time-travel was maybe a way to try sidestepping common objections? And then they specifically spoke about the Grandfather paradox too
Great effects. Good from Pattinson and Washington, needed more Michael Caine.
Very clever-clever.
Debicki's character (decisions, dialogue) was awful

We watched hotel royale last night for first time and it was brilliant. The black girl who did the singing and talked down the hippy was amazing.

Really good movie.

Do you mean Bad Times at the Royale?
Yeah never heard of the movie and it been out a couple of years.

The wife has a cinema paradiso account and must have been on here list.

Really enjoyed it, good story well acted and with a great soundtrack. Everything i want from a movie.

Am going to watch Train to Busan and Train to Busan 2 Penninsula over the next couple of days

We watched the live action Disney version of Mulan yesterday, we all loved it, amazing location and costumes

Had to doss up on entropy and the arrow of time to try and get my head around it

Two and a half hours watching Tenet with a mask on in the cinema wasn’t a great Sat night.
Lots of people purchasing snacks so they had the excuse to take off their mask once seated at the Odeon screening I went to.

As for movie itself, clever but not as enjoyable as Inception and the sound mix could do with tweaking

Is Tenet more realistic/believable than Inception? (That was a bit too fantasy for my liking)

Another film based around an interesting concept.
There really are issues with the sound clarity. Which is extra problematic as so much of the dialogue really needs to be heard to ensure you know what's going on.

Thanks. I'm not sure if it's just me getting older, but I find even at it's best the Odeon IMAX audio isn't super defined - so not good if the source is dodgy to start with.

Will probably go along as not much else to watch.

Last night I watched Unhinged.
That's not intellectually demanding at all, just watching Russell Crowe playing a psycho targeting a bit of an annoying woman and her reasonably well-cast son.
Hosted my nephews and niece over the weekend and watched Atticus Finch - now that's an abomination of a film with terrible child-acting to boot

Yeah, I quite enjoyed Uhinged too. Was my first movie in a cinema of the summer, after my local Odeon finally reopened, and whilst fairly by the numbers it was only about 90 minutes so didn’t outstay its welcome.

Reminded me a bit of Falling Down which I’ve added to my watchlist, as not seen that for many years.

I thought the sound mix on Dunkirk was excellent.

I tend to watch his stuff at home anyway. The demands on a sound system in a smallish room are much lower and you can tweak the centre up if it's really hard to hear.
