Bale. Could we? Would we? Should we?

I’d do it even if we only saw Son / Kane / Bale together for like 15 / 20 games.

If we keep stuff tight ie Aurier out + Clyne in we could pay a big loan fee and Madrid pay 80% of his wages for the first season with the option of buying out his contract...

Maybe dreamworld or just unwise if he can’t keep fit for the majority of the season.

No chance would I want Bale back now, this thread is getting years old and he isnt playing and is getting older.

Its a no from me

Doesn't work like that, you can't stop age

no, but muscle fatigue and damage are issues too, there are plenty of examples of players who break out early then retire earlier than their position average, and plenty of examples of players who have gone the other way, look at Ronaldo, who has a very similar structure to Bale

he’s only 31, plenty of high level performances in that body yet

Giggs says it’s no problem of him not playing a bit at the moment, but it could be viewed differently if he’s in the same boat in a months time.
Wales have about half a dozen players in the same boat,as Bale.We be fittest country in the euros next year if carries on like this!
Well Figo went the other way,and he won’t be the first to play for the two clubs in Spain.

You can't use CRonaldo as an example as the guy's a genuine freak. He may be a first class clown shoe, but you've got to admire his dedication to fitness, diet, etc. He must be one of the fittest footballers to ever live.

Bale, on the other hand, has had more than his fair share of joint injuries. I would be very surprised if he showed anything like the same longevity. He's also a speedster - does he have the guile to turn it down a little and drop back, like Giggs? I do agree that Bale's hardly been run into the ground at Real, but on balance, I'd expect him to drop off around 33, like the majority of attacking players.

Only minor, attention-seeking media outlets are pushing this Bale-to-Spurs agenda. That useless football London site, for example, are on it like this:
