Serge Aurier

There's so much about Aurier that frustrates yet it's hard to not appreciate the gusto he plays with. He genuinely looks like he's having fun and giving his all on his sorties forward.

Coming back to defend? Not so much.

But I can't say I dislike him. On a much better balanced Spurs side, there'd be a place for someone of this nature. Sadly, this isn't the Spurs side he needs to be on right now.

I wish him well and thank him for service provided.

I'll miss his foul throws. Much needed comedy.

Happy to see the back of him to be honest. Always thought he had most/all of the tools to be a player except for a brain. He's been very poor for us on the whole.

Fair play for how he handled his brother's death. I'll give him the utmost respect for that. But as a footballer, he's been a massive flop and won't be missed.

Won't believe anything until it's official. Are we going to sell the only RBs we have with more than 5 PL games under their belt in a week?

Could be proved wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if he's still our first choice come next season and we get in a younger English prospect possibly from the championship.

However if he does go I wouldn't ignore the excellent games he had, particularly a few games in the CL against the likes of Dortmund where he looked very strong dominating the right flank alongside his mate Moussa. Just a tad erratic to be played in a back four unless there's an assigned DM who can look to cover the space if needed.

Added to all of this if we can get 5/6m for Rose + 12m for Foyth + 12m for KWP it's a good basis to start with if funds are realistically low...

Negotiations for Serge Aurier are taking longer than expected. Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria have been on the starting ramp for weeks and the Ivorian defender is the favorite to occupy the right back.

According to the information we handle in TodoFichajes, the two teams would be close to closing a transfer agreement. The Londoners demanded € 20M for the player's pass but finally the operation will amount to a figure close to € 15M although it could be higher if a series of objectives are met.

(All or nothing spoiler) Mourinho's opinion of him defensively in the amazon doc might deflate the market for him a little.

True but the fact he's got PSG and Spurs on his CV plus full international means he's not going for chicken change. There's a good footballer in there, his slide tackling has improved/lessened, he's quick, strong and not completely useless in defence or attack. I reckon anything over 15m and Levy takes it. He cost about 20m IIRC.

Imagine Levy trying to negotiate and the other party just says ‘He might do a brick penalty and VAR’
Levy won’t be signing up to another Documentary after that!
