Another shooting in Murica

No Scara, it has nothing to do with emotion, and frankly, your dismissive and gas-lit-tinged use of "emotion" here is insulting and again, wrong.
Next you'll say that my love of Pochettino is proof my perspective cannot be trusted...

You "should" read this. Wise up. It will help you understand further what is going on. Only fools allow history to repeat itself in this way without question.

I'm fairly solid on my history thanks.

This isn't that.

This is trial by Twitter. This is millennials desperate to be more outraged than the next one and insisting on doing so via Instagram. This is a generation that has grown up assuming they can have everything for nothing and are now smashing brick up because they can't. This is pinkos inventing conspiracy theories to avoid the harsh reality that their rioting, looting comrades are the real bad guys here.

Trump's a clam, some police are clams. That's not the same as what's being claimed and it's not an excuse for mob rule.

That’s quite a claim. Do you have stats for this?

The best data available are those I linked in the Harvard study.

Obviously they're not perfect, and far more work needs doing on reporting. But that's a million miles from evidence of racism.

Oh, and the thing you're looking for that I don't have is anecdotal evidence - also know as no evidence whatsoever.

you’re also not a person of colour, so you couldn’t possibly comprehend the level of prejudice that occurs on a daily basis individually and institutionally, and the implications this has. To be told that it’s irrelevant because there isn’t a pie chart representing that is at best callous. How many millions of anecdotal experiences occur before it stops becoming anecdotal?

You call it callous. I call it detached, ivory tower ignorance, quite possibly willful.

The choice America has is actually between facism and democracy. Choose one.

Biden is not a well man.

The best thing democrats should do is retire Biden on health grounds. Selfish staying in like Corbyn did for self interest rather than the greater good.

@TrumpWarRoom: Joe Biden: "Covid has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 year, look, here's, the lives, it's just, when you think about it."
Neither can be trusted. What an awful state of affairs.

Trump war room, eh? Listen I could post 100 incidences of Trump's frontotemporal dementia symptoms if you want to get into which old dude is in better shape discussion. What's the point though? These are the candidates and if Biden was in a coma he's still a better choice than Trump on every level.
The fact that you see any sort of trust equivalence between these two men is something that baffles me. To get a democrat in the Whitehouse is the single most important thing, so as long as Biden makes it past January I'll be happy.

If only it were only those whinging Instagram trustafarians who were the cause of everything. That would make all this rather easy. As for the "pinkos" drivel, well, I was going to say you're better than that but clearly you're not, so I'll just call it stupid on your part. Your repeated insistence that protestors are also rioters is right out of Trump's playbook. Your quite malevolent attempt to turn counter opinions on the subject into "conspiracy theories" are very dangerous. A conspiracy theory is something like those Q-Anon nutcases, or some fool telling you that 5g and Bill Gates are trying to control us all along with Soros. Those are crackpot conspiracy theories. What we are seeing in the US right now is happening. In front of everyone's eyes. It is not a test and it is not a bad dream; the playbook has been used before, and n to just by the likes of Hitler. Richrd Nixon was a huge exponent, indeed, he got elected off the back of race-fueled riots. IF you know your history etc, etc...

That's very true.

The solution to this, of course, is the same one I've been pushing for some time now: Don't be racist. It's a remarkably easy thing to do and almost everyone does it all the time.

Smashing up businesses and stealing trainers will not achieve that. Attacking police will not achieve that. Calling out non-racist people as racist simply for considering a different solution to the one Instagram told you to believe in will not achieve that.

Mob rule is never the right answer.

So it's only a conspiracy theory when you don't believe it?

Scara I genuinely understand and appreciate your stance. I think the point I’m not making very succinctly is that it’s not simply a case of people smashing brick up because they’re not getting their way. There an analogy of poking a bear with a stick repeatedly, then finding new ways of torturing it whilst telling it it shouldn’t be angry at being poked by the stick anymore, but I’m not intelligent enough to make it.

our friend Scara gets great pleasure in picking the sharpest sticks.

Unfortunately, once the bear has reacted, then the vultures swoop in. In your analogy, many of these "protesters" are the vultures.

No. It's only a conspiracy theory when there is no patently obvious, tangible line of evidential proof.
There really isn't one in this case.

What you have here is a bog standard echo chamber, where any suggestion (such as "it's all those Trumpists doing the rioting") quickly becomes accepted fact.

Always thought racism was wrong but this is the key bit for me.

Also the video evidence backs up the claims black people have made.

Dont think it is overstating things to say the American police force has an institutional racism problem. Im sure the are decent white officers, but they clearly have a hell of a lot of racists.

Not sure if you have seen the excellent tv show now they see us. But it is clear the blacks have put up with far to much brick for far to long, im not surprised they snapped.

Auro mate, i've lost count the number of times a white person has explained to me, a person of colour, what should and should not constitute racism. I've given up with asking "how many times you been racially abused" as it just makes the defence dig deeper...

Just like the orangeman himself, I see that you believe repeating something enough makes it true. Obviously it is beyond your scope to see how Trump is using a law and order platform as his push. Again, look at Nixon in '68...or just keep la la la-ing and tutting at "peasants" and "scum"...

I don't doubt that Trump is using the fact that so many people think mob rule is OK to appeal to normal people that wouldn't usually vote for him.

That's not the same as some conspiracy of "agitators" who are running around burning buildings and stealing trainers, pretending to be protestors. That's just convenient because the truth is uncomfortable.

If you send groups of "right-wing protestors" to repeatedly "confront" protestors, you are going to ignite all creatures great and small. If you think the use of "agitators" is about sending "actor" in to play thieves, then you're missing the mark. Agitators will certainly create chaos and know how to enrage factions of those they're "pitched against"...the truth IS uncomfortable. The TRUTH is that when you continually isolate, profile and subjugate sections of the population, you are creating the conditions for violence and civil war. If he gets back in, mark my words, his only way out from sustained civil violence and chaos will be to create/engage in a war. Nixon...
